“Better than hotel breakfast but not by much! Honestly I wish I’d saved myself $60.00 and ate at the hotel but the reviews said this was good. I guess those reviewers have not had good breakfast before because this was among the worst breakfast I’ve ever had! The eggs were runny the biscuit was burnt! My wife’s English muffin was soggy and my sons pancakes tasted like they were microwaved! The coffee was burnt and quite bitter! I ended up drinking my water because I couldn’t stomach the bad coffee! Giving it three stars because it’s a step above hotel breakfast well honestly I’ve had better hotel breakfast!”

“Coffee quality was better than average, Employees were nice. There was no tip line on the receipt if you use a card, so no way to give a tip to employees unless you give them cash! Note to owner, please include this for employees!!! I enjoyed sitting on porch while it rained.”

“Breakfast was really good, except - four of us ordered eggs over medium - they were all over easy, normally this would not be too much of an issue, but a breakfast place who's tag line is "The best breakfast in the world" needs to get it's eggs 100% correct. “I have been visiting the Sanibel Cafe for years. The food is delicious and different. This visit I split the Breakfast Quesadilla with a friend. Large enough portion to share. I also love their Coconut French Toast and they have many interesting sandwiches or wraps for lunch. Fresh ingredients and homemade jam. The prices are reasonable, especially for Sanibel and the service is excellent. Highly recommend.”

“Had the New England Clam Chowder and the Meatball linguine. Very impressed, the chowder was perfect. Very rich, didn't skimp on the clam....like most places do. The Meatball was HUGE. The sauce on the linguine was explosive. Definitely a great place to go, will be coming back.”

“Invited by friends to go to Sweet Melissa’s. Checked out the menu first as I am a vegan and saw there were no suitable options on the menu. I called to ask if they could accommodate my diet and they assured me they could. Melissa prepared a delicious vegan meal....one of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. I wish she would add it to the menu. I truly appreciated the extra effort made to satisfy a customer.”
