“Been a few years since I was here and they updated their menu and looks like they got rid of their soup and salad bar. (Thanks, Plandemic) But we met my son here for lunch and the food is still solid. My favorite items used to be the french toast and pancakes, but I seem to have developed a wheat allergy over the years, so I went with corned beef hash with Sunnyside eggs and hash browns. Delicious. I think they added onion powder to the hasbrowns. Pretty good! Hubby and son both got burgers and were very satisfied. Given this place is about 2 hours(ish) north of Tampa and about 2 hours (ish) away from Jacksonville, we will be meeting up for lunch often. I'm looking forward to it and to exploring their new menu further.”

“I love this place!! My kids were visiting for Thanksgiving and we sat outside. We loved watching the baby gator sunning in the water. I ordered the regular burger with blue cheese and it was the best burger I have ever eaten!!! Our waitress was very sweet and everyone was very friendly!!”

“Nice little cafe on highway 441 north of Ocala. Surprisingly clean and tidy. Filled with locals, on a very rainy day. Most everyone seemed to be going for the reasonably priced buffet. When in doubt, do as the locals do. The salad bar was a generous variety of fresh choices - Very nice! Buffet fare included country fried chicken ????, tasty fish, home style meatloaf, and more; served with all the right fixings. No losers here, just great country cooking! We'll definitely be back next time we're passing through. See you then! ????”

“The brisket sandwich was what we ordered. It came on a toasted bun - bonus points from me, and smothered in sauce without asking what we preferred. I am not a fan of tomato based sauces myself although I ate it since the brisket looked and smelled delicious. The sauce can't be categorized as belonging to a particular style of sauce as it reminded me of a store bought ketchup with something added to it. I am not a professional judge of brisket, though I can hope one day, this was moist and delicious but had none of the usual signs of having been in a smoker or of being an actual brisket. The smoke flavor didn't go all the way through the meat and the outside had no crust. I thoroughly enjoyed it except for the sauce. Was it a brisket? Probably not. Was it a good sandwich? Definitely! If you are passing through and feeling the need for a quick bite right off I75 that is not a mcd's burger this is a much better decision.”

“Very nice Iron Skillet. Had a ribeye steak there yesterday and it was cooked extremely well! I was very surprised at how good a steak from the Skillet could be. I'll definitely have another one soon. And my server I believe her name was Kathryn, well she was top notch! Very good at her job, polite and friendly...very attentive to my needs.”
