I was part of a wedding that was held here and although the venue is beautiful and seemingly well maintained, there were several things that could be improved as far as weddings are concerned. The most disappointing and mind-blowing thing that we encountered was the fact that there is no area for the bride to stay before the ceremony. Our bride had to stand in the family restroom for an hour in her heels and dress waiting for the ceremony to begin. There was no liaison or anyone for the coordinator to communicate with on the day of to find an alternative or get any assistance for other issues. I have no complaints about the bar staff, as they were professional and friendly. The rest of the staff however, seem to be completely clueless and put out at the smallest request. The reception area in the upstairs was beautiful and really easy to decorate around with The rustic features and nice view. The ceremony area in the grass looked nice and chairs were set up for the guests. The food was great and seemed to be a hit for everyone who attended but there were not many options for those with gluten intolerance. Lastly, another bride and her bridal party were downstairs while the the wedding was going on. She and her party were taking photos with our wedding decor and can be seen in the background of many of our guest's pictures. Overall, I think with some adjustments this would be a nice place to have a wedding once you overlook the surrounding area which looks extremely dumpy. Driving past strip clubs to get to a wedding venue is not the best look. Once inside The Gulf, it's very pretty. I can't say that I would recommend this for an event, but it may be nice for a night out.

Love the atmosphere! The Gulf offers outdoor dining with a beautiful view and relaxed coastal feel. A great environment for adults and kids to enjoy. The food is average at best. The menu is more akin to that of a northeast chain restaurant than of a local gulf coast joint. They need to change out the oil in the fyers more often. Everything had a strong fishy taste, even the french fries.

Such a fun vibe!! Rented a pontoon, parked on the sand, ate lunch overlooking the water. Great food—loved the grouper sandwich and my husband said the chicken sandwich was the best he’s had in a long time. Great atmosphere. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Prices don’t include fries or drinks.

This is an awesome place to hang out at night and have a few drinks with your friends. The Concerts are also really fun there! It’s cool that they change the menu around quite often but the quality is lacking. The food is not worth the price they charge for it. Go somewhere else for dinner and then come here for the awesome drinks and atmosphere!
