“Totally enjoyed my food today, I had the overloaded hwy 90 pileup. Grilled chicken breast topped with bacon, cheese and toasted crunchy onions. The onions were so good, similar to the fried onions you buy in a container for Thanksgiving but much better, it was meaty inside. Very good! Definitely not what we buy from the store. I had two sides, mac n cheese and steamed veggies. The mac n cheese looked wonderful but didn't have much flavor. But the atmosphere and the very reasonable pricing made it a place I will patronize in the future. I forgive them for the mac n cheese. Personally I like sharp cheddar.”

Posted April 2020. 1/28/21 Called today on my way home from shopping at 11:00 as I passed Bell Lane in Pea Ridge to order my birthday lunch. Was put on hold for 15 minutes. (Gave me time to drive there and was still on hold) I finally had to call back after 15 minutes just to place a to go order. There were 5 cars in the parking lot. Even as great as the food is, that is poor front end service.”

“We stopped for lunch after seeing glowing recommendations online. We were not disappointed! We got the chicken fried steak. I had mashed "taters" and green beans and my husband had collard greens and loaded "tater" salad. We had apple pie a la mode for dessert. Everything was made from scratch and tasted like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Staff was incredibly friendly and service was fast and efficient. We'll definitely be back!”

“I remember this place from 2 years ago and never made it there. Needed a place to grab a quick bite and Papa Nalu Aloha Grill was one the way. First we walked in and almost left because of the smell, wasn't sure what it was but it was not pleasant. A daughter took our drink order and then we also ordered the samples platter, best thing we could have done, everything was awesome! Then we ordered food with high expectations and it did not disappoint!! My youngest daughter doesn't really eat her vegs bit this time she was looking for seconds. All sauces homemade, a must try...especially the pineapple dipping sauce...WOW! Papa Nalu Aloha Grill will be added to my families MUST eat at list next time we visit Pensacola Beach area!!”

“My wife and I had dinner here for the first time a few days ago and were pleased with the quickness of the servers, I asked for several things and the first time they returned in seconds, kinda startled me they were so fast. “2.5 stars rounding up to 3 My main reason was for coming to this establishment was to get key lime pie before I had left Florida. I was able to get the key lime pie here, but it was subpar to other ones that I have had before. And, did not look like the key lime pie I saw pictures online for reviews of this place.. Definitely not worth the $3 a slice! Sorry to say. I also had ordered the seafood sensation, and the fried catfish with fries and a baked potato on the side. The the fried catfish was good , along with the seafood sensation, although I did think it was a bit pricey for what we got. The fries were fine as far as fries go, and the baked potato have more cheese on the aluminum oil than inside of the potato, and there were no chives on it either. The best thing from this place were the hush puppies. And those are complementary. I got a weird vibe from this place as well, from the other customers as well as the teenagers working here, although they were professional enough. I would like to say it's because I was just picking up for take out and not dining in, but its most likely because I'm brown. If you're white though, this place would be nice enough to eat at. Guess that's how you know this the real Florida, and not the touristy spots.”

“Spectacular service. The ambiance of the restaurant is on par with the barbecue theme. Along with clean eating area as well as restrooms. They prompt service of the kitchen and staff is far beyond any restaurant I have ever reviewed. We received our appetizers in under 5 minutes that is phenomenal considering the size of these appetizers. Shortly after that we received our meal so a total waiting time under 9 minutes. Fantastic! Looking very forward to my next trip there.”
