We went on a weekday at 3 and there were lots of people there. Just opened July 4th weekend but I foresee a long and successful road ahead for this business. Also very accessible- see photos. “I've been to Mad Moe's many times in the past and have always enjoyed the great food and service, and did this time, except on this most recent visit, the first in a few months, I was appalled by their lack of compliance with protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Not a single mask in sight, staff or customers. No effort to encourage social distancing except the removal of a few tables. Multi-use condiment containers (eg. Ketchup) on each table. It was obvious the owner had little interest in complying with CDC guidelines. His right I suppose, but should post that on the door to make customers aware up front. Very disappointed with the experience. Won't be going back anytime soon.”

“An excellent hotel with a caring and well trained staff. Bar, pool area, food was excellent and the free breakfast is superb. However, the rooms have only rotating slat-type window blinds with no curtains to draw. The blinds allow a LOT of light in the room even late at night due to the outside street and security lights. This (for us anyway) made sleep difficult and we ended up hanging a blanket to the top window valance. Not having black-out curtains is a major blunder and, although we greatly enjoyed the hotel and its value pricing, we will not stay there again until the above is resolved.”

“We have been in the area for a year, but finally made it here. They blew our expectations out of the water. A very welcoming atmosphere filled with friendly people. We had the cheeseburgers and I was impressed when the Chef cared enough to ask if we were happy with our meal. Justin, our bartender was PERFECT. He was friendly, efficient and actually said "You're Welcome, " when I thanked him. Manners go a long way and he is an exception in this area. What a gem! We can't wait to go back.”

“I wish you could give 1/2 stars. I would do a 4.5, but I rounded up :) The mole was a solid 5. I normally don’t order it, by the description intrigued me and it was excellent. My husband’s dish was good, but I don’t even remember what it was now. The service is great. It’s run by a family. Grandma in the kitchen, grand daughter waiting tables. She even offered to hold my infant son so I could eat. Very sweet.”

“Relaxed and even casual atmosphere with a five star menu. A favorite place of year-round residents who know good seafood, they have a varied selection of daily specials as well as a menu with a good mix of shellfish, molluscs, and finned fish. Their black cod is consistently outstanding, it's hard to overstate how good it is. Definitely try this place if you are anywhere near the area, you won't be disappointed.”

“Love this place, breakfast or lunch. The only negative is the level of noise when it is full. It is difficult to talk to your table mates. The outdoor seating is better for conversation if the weather permits. The restaurant is small, well decorated and always clean. The owners are friendly and seem to have addressed the noise level to a point but diners take note.”

“The couple that bought the place have failed, as I expected. The original owners have it back and it's WONDERFUL again! The chef and most, if not all, waiters are back. Went back for a second time; it's one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Sarasota County. Very authentic northern Italian food cooked to perfection. Well trained wait staff and very friendly atmosphere combined with exquisite food. Outstanding!”

“Just had lunch here, AMAZING! Had the open faced smoked ham and Muenster with a cup of the tomato soup. Best tomato soup I’ve ever had! Cut little place tucked in a plaza with pastries, coffees, teas, soups, salads, and sandwiches. Friendly staff and freshly made food was worth the slight wait. Hubby had the quiche. Devine!!
