“This cute little restaurant at the west end of downtown Venice is a great breakfast or lunch choice. It's kind of a natural food diner, if that makes sense to you. In our party, three had breakfast and one opted for lunch. The egg dishes (omelettes for two of the three) were all well prepared and featured fresh vegetables. The sandwich was similarly nice, with good fresh bread and fair portions. A pleasant lunch in downtown Venice.”

“I found out about this hidden gem through my grandma and parents. I'm a vegetarian, and extremely picky about what I eat. Jim, the owner, is super nice and is always warm and welcoming to his customers. I got a sandwich with roasted red peppers, fresh mushrooms, lettuce, artichoke hearts, and a homemade black olive paste with a side of roasted potatoes. I was skeptical about the black olives at first, but my sandwich was absolutely delicious. Occasionally, my grandma and I would stop by early mornings to have coffee and homemade twists topped with sesame seeds. Would definitely recommend anyone to stop by and enjoy this hidden gem while visiting Venice island!”

“We sat outside and had a lovely meal as we caught up with old friends. Our waitress, Leanne, attended to every detail of our order. We sat next to the 'resident' frog, TJ, that makes its home in local flower boxes and occasionally ventures out to a seat at an outdoor table. Local color as TJ became part of our Venice Beach experience. I understand that a large part of the downtown shopping area had been closed for a very long time due to a reconfiguration of their parking, but that is over and the place looks great.”

“This is a beyond perfect stop. They offer a $12 lunch special and it is phenomenal. I got the soup, salad, and pasta combo. The portions were just the right amount, and they had delicious bread brought out to us while we waited. You can 100% tell the pasta is made in house. Everything is authentic, and the new owner greeted us and was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Our server, Johnathan, was exceptional! He was so friendly and informative on his recommendations. The ambiance was relaxing and intimate. Cute for a date night or a mid day lunch. Looking forward to coming back for a dinner one night. The owner bought the place a year ago, and is definitely taking it to the next level. Highly recommend !!!!”

“This place is just so GREAT. Food is fabulous, Staff are all highly skilled and very thoughtful about their craft. The Chef is very creative and we haven't had a bad of boring meal here, ever. We vacation in Venice once or twice a year and this is our go to spot every time we are in town. For what you are getting in this place the prices are very reasonable and worth it. Wine parings have always been spot on, haven't sent one back yet. The bar tender is a wonderful mixologist and has created some wonderful cocktails for me and my wife that were wonderful. We always ask for Michelle's station because she is simply the best. This place gets really packed during the tourist season so call ahead and the wait is completely worth it. See you in a couple of months Cassariano and we can't wait to see you Michelle!”
