“Every year for Christmas I make my mother-in-law’s very very old family recipe for figgy pudding. It calls for suet which is used a lot in England, but is very hard to find in Atlanta. If any stores even know what it is, they never have good fresh cuts. We called around to 15-20 butcheries until we found Tripoli. They keep suet, along with a huge array of typical and unusual cuts of meat, in their impeccably clean store. Their business model is thoughtful and inclusive, and the workers are extremely pleasant and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable too. They had super fresh suet that the butcher brought out in a huge chunk and cut for me right in front of me. The cleanest and freshest cuts I’ve ever seen - I was so thrilled! 10/10 would return. We plan to make more trips up to Marietta to support this lovely shop!”

“I drove past a sign that said Mangoes was located there but I didn’t think much of it because I know there are only two locations on Atlanta. Last week I decided to google this location and check out the reviews. Since I live 8 min away from this location I decided to give it a try. I will say that I was NOT disappointed. This location does hold up the reputation of Mangoes. I’ve been going to their downtown location for about 5 years now and this location does compare. I’ll start with the beef patty. It was one of the best patties I have ever had. It was flaky, spicy and just delicious. 10/10 would recommend. I had one plate of rice and peas with oxtail and a plate of Mac and cheese with brown stew chicken. The oxtail was indeed $20 (very expensive) but they did give enough meat. I was truly impressed with the amount of meat they gave however I didn’t think they gave enough rice. The oxtail had too much oil for my liking and the rice could have used more seasoning. The food also wasnt warm enough. I had to microwave it when I got back home. Nonetheless, it was definitely good together and I give it a 8/10. The Mac and cheese was perfect and the brown stew was nice and tender. Not much to say about those two but that dish got a 10/10. Overall I will say this location is a gem in north Atlanta. I will still go downtown if I want to dine in but if I’m doing take out I will definitely order from here. Now that I think about it, I’ll be ordering the curry chicken tonight so will update.”

“What’s cooler than Mexican ramen?! Great hidden gem in Marietta, GA. Prices are very moderate. The tacos are super delicious, probably some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The goat meat was immaculate! Broth was super salty though. Make sure to ask for the ramen when you got there, it’s not on the menu. No complaints on the food. Beer only, no liquor. Server was a bit hands off, but I’ll sure be back for that delicious goat meat!”

“This was the most incredible little french bakery. Me and my coworkers ended up coming every single day this week up until our trip was over. The girl behind the counter and the waitress have the best french accents. Everything I had on the menu was incredible as well as the bakery items. Coming from Virginia I would drive back just for this Bakery. Best place ever. The fresh croissant and strawberry preserves was by far my favorite item there though.”

“It was like a downscale Marlowe's. Service was quite good, but the food was only average. I had onion rings as a side. They were large, but very over-breaded. And they'd been fried in the same grease they cook their fish in. I love fried seafood - fish & shellfish - but I don't want my fish to taste like onions any more than I want my onion rings to taste like fish. And our bill was a bit steep for the meal we had. Not owing to the quality, I had their version of French dip and the wife had a burger. We also had some kettle chips (thin fried chips with gorgonzola, bacon, green onions and tomatoes). They were good but not hot enough. Like they'd been sitting. Wife had sweet potato fries with her burger and I had a Guinness. Bill before tip was $55... A bit too much for what we got. It's still a new place, so maybe this was an anomaly.”

“You MUST stop in if you’re in the square! My dad has been going to Henri’s since he was a little boy and the tradition naturally got passed down to me! We always would eat at the location in Sandy Springs weekly, sometimes more than once a week. To say I am overjoyed about a location in Marietta is a total understatement! Their sandwiches are phenomenal. My mom, sister, and I always get the chicken salad on white bread. My brother gets the turkey po-boy. This location stays pretty busy and the wait can be a little longer than one might hope, but you can see the managers actively coaching and training the staff so it will likely only continue to get better. “Our family arrived at the restaurant around 7:00 on a Friday night. We came with our assortment of characters. Our father only likes what he used to. He isn't one to try something he hasn't tried before, so he got the hamburger. He claimed it was delicious and unique. Our hard to please eater enjoyed it! That's the first check. Secondly, our 18 recently developed a severe allergy. This restaurant was the most accommodating and patient place we have ever been to. They even invented a new dish just to meet her special dietary restrictions! And it was absolutely amazing! Additionally we came with two people who love meditation foods, so there were high expectations here. This restaurant blew them out of this world. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Everything felt so special and was so delicious. The portions were generous and the presentation was beautiful. We are so lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood, and we can't wait to return. In conclusion, this restaurant is a major hit with all types of people. The picky eater, the special diets, and the high expectations all approved. We strongly recommend it.
