“Wanted to love this place. It really breaks my heart to not leave them a five-star. I could see the employees cared about their customers. The food wasn't bad, just not great. Price vs. quality. Salmon was overcooked, and that ruined the seasoning they used. The noodles were mush. The sauce they made for the pasta was pretty tastey. My wife's sandwich was creative, and she enjoyed it. The French fries were fun in the basket they brought them in. The sauce combination used on the trini ting fries was excellent. I'm hoping they can change my mind next go around. They gave me a veterans discount, which was very courteous. Don't be discouraged with my four star review. Give them a shot.”

“Absolutely delighted by the genuine Nigerian flavors at 1738 African Grill! The goat Egusi vanished in no time, a true testament to its deliciousness. While the grilled red snapper was a bit overcooked and dry, my choice to skip the usual pepper sauce might be a factor. Despite this, the authenticity of the dishes makes it a worthwhile experience. However, the portion sizes seem a bit mismatched with the prices. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Nigerian cuisine!”

“So happy for these guys!! This has been my favorite rod truck for years and so happy to be able to enjoy the restaurant more frequently, their fancy fries (I.e. garlic Parmesan crab fries and salmon Philly fries) with shrimp or the lobster roll are my family’s favorites … but usually the special is to die for too, one time the lamb chops or dried ribs were the most flavorful ones I’ve ever had!!”

“I ordered the oxtails with rice and peas and plantains. I also ordered a whole Roti skin. The food was really tasty. The rice and peas had a great flavor. The plantains were sweet and not dried put. The oxtails were fantastic. My only problem was they only gave me 4 oxtails and they were not especially meaty. I would love a bigger serving of oxtails next time”

“Why have I not discovered this place sooner!?!?This hidden gem is right on your way to downtown Powder Springs. The menu is small but the flavors are power packed! The name says it all so I had to order the wings and the fish and shrimp combo plate! The portions were plentiful and the service was excellent! They even have a drive up window! If I were you I would call in your order. I tried it out on a Friday night and they were packed. After tasting my dinner, I now know why. I will definitely visit them again in the near future!”

“Quaint, cozy place. Caribbean cuisine is on point and the price is quite reasonable. The brown stew chicken with pigeon peas and rice and cabbage was very delicious. The chicken had just the right amount of pepper without being too spicy. Their island lemonade was awesome. It had pieces of real strawberries and pineapple. The staff was very friendly. “Brand new! Just opened. Liquor license is coming in January. All the Caribbean cuisine you would see if you were in the islands. Oxtail, roti, chicken, curry, etc. The owner is from Trinidad and Tobago so you know she can cook. There are no other Caribbean restaurants in the area so this is a good location for Cobb and Paulding residents. Always trust my reviews.”

“The food is always great! Plus it’s reasonably priced and the portions are huge. One word of advice: know what you want when you order. Their English isn’t great and my wife has tried to branch out and try different items, but once we get home we realize that it’s different than what’s stated on their online menu. Not enough of a problem for me to knock off a star, because I always get the same thing and it’s always delicious!”
