“The food was fresh and hot and was cooked to perfection. Our server John was an absolute perfect server. We never had to ask for refills he was there doing it before we knew. They were very busy but the place was clean and buffet never had an empty pan. Plus they had my personal favorite candy next to the ice cream bar ???? orange slices ????also the had 4 different kinds of ice cream besides the machine that has the usual choc and van and mixed. Yes I would definitely recommend.”

“This is my second consecutive five star review of On the Border. I don't come to Barrett Parkway often but if I do, I don't dine anywhere else. This time I had a bartender who has never served me. She was not only very cute but also very attentive as she offered me refills on both of my beers when there was one third left in each glass. My food came out perfect and hot. I had the double stack club quesadilla which I know is not on the menu anymore but it's hard to mess up bacon, chicken and melted cheese. The bartender's name is Kayla and I appreciate the good service as well as a bright smile. 5 stars as usual.”

“For smaller kids, it is always a fun place. If you have kids in between the little and tween ages; however, there are better options for the same price. The building, although rearranged, was dirty. There were too many people to walk and most of the game machines were out of order. We have had a ton of fun with the kids here in the past, but will definitely explore other options in the future.”

“We couldn't decide where to eat last Sunday, wanted something different and stumbled across Joella's. We got the (white meat) chicken plates with sides. Enjoyed the green beans, mac & cheese and kale salad. They were out of mashed potatoes but they gave us a free side to make up for it. The portion was somewhat small for the kale salad but it was good. Everything was very good! The fried chicken was well seasoned and super tasty. The staff was very friendly. We will go back again for another try!”

“I’ve been wanting to eat here for months! I love the look of this restaurant’s exterior, as it reminds me of restaurants in California on the beach. There were 5 of us who ate here, all got something different, and all of us really enjoyed what we got. The portion sizes are about perfect! Not overwhelming but not small either. They seasoned and cooked their food perfectly. They also have a decent selection of foods and a very generous selection of drinks to choose from! Some of the drinks are way overpriced in my opinion (like the virgin Frozen Pineapple drink my daughter got - no alcohol so it should be so pricey!! And it didn’t hold much liquid in it.) but they are very tasty. They DO have a “happy hour” each day, so if you can go during those times, I’d recommend that. We will be eating here again!”
