The waitress that I had was super friendly and very nice! She gave my friend three refills and gave me two. She always made certain that we were comfortable and happy. “I've been looking for a place that served Nashville chicken forever. Theirs was fantastic. I love hot food and their napalm was excellent. Hot enough to make you sweat off a couple pounds but still great flavor. There aren't many better combinations than a cold beer, hot Nashville chicken and coleslaw. Wonderful!”

“Absolutely loved this place! We saw it on our way to the Ocean Inn and decided to eat here even though we were told about another restaurant. Our server Marlene was very funny and attentive. The food was even better than our favorite place back in Prescott. One of the rare times when you expect the average but are blown away by the exceptional! Will stop in here everytime we visit. “We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! After reading some other reviews, I was skeptical because the bad service reviews but decided to give it a go anyway since my boyfriend grew up going to the king and prince as a child. I was pleasantly surprised when we were greeted with nothing but kindness and hospitality from the moment we walked in. The hostess read our reservation notes and knew it was our anniversary which was very sweet and she even made sure to share it with our server. Our server was Rachel B. And she was very kind and attentive, even took a beautiful photo of us. I’m not sure what happened with some of the other reviews but we had wonderful service and would definitely return!”

“We got the shrimp dip appetizer, which was very good, although a little small. It's enough for 2 people, but probably not more than that. We also had fried seafood (Flounder, shrimp, and oysters), and a deviled crab. Food was good, but could have used a little more seasoning. Prices are a little high, but what you'd expect for seafood, especially in a touristy area. Overall, I'd go back.”

“What a great place to eat! My husband and I wanted a nice, quiet dining experience. We went a bit early, right after 5pm. It was the perfect choice. We had wonderful service from Ashley. She was very kind and so polite. The food was so delicious! We had salad, served family style with homemade dressings (choice of 3) and bread. Then for an appetizer we shared shrimp and grits, so worth it! For our main entrees we had scallops and the grouper that was on special. The food was amazing! We will be back!”

Good selection of flavors and combinations, also ice cream availible. The small is plenty and cant be beat for $3. For a buck more you can get more than most would want in one sitting. “This place was just so-so for us. Wife had BYOB(build your own biscuit) country ham. Ham was very good, biscuit was not(though I will admit we are very choosy about biscuits, hard to find one like grandma used to make). I had shrimp omelette, did not like it. Basically scrambled eggs with shrimp and veggies poured over it. I like my shrimp folded into the omelette. Coffee was good. Service was good.”

“The atmosphere was great for a Friday night with live music & we enjoyed sitting on the patio - plus, the staff was really nice! I liked the craft beer draft selections they had....I'd give atmosphere a 4 star! The only reason I'm saying it was a 3 star is because none of the food was particularly great. They were of course out of Grilled Salmon, which I heard was good, but I had the Grouper Sandwich upon request.”

“Though we were a large group, the server who was assigned our half of the table seemed to be overly busy. The food tasted really good. One person in our group food came out extremely late (some we're finished eating already), drinks that weren't re-ordered were showing up (can appreciate he eagerness). “I have always appreciated the large "tap beer" selection at Mellow Mushroom no matter which location. This location didn't' disappoint in that area nor in their happy hour specials and food quality. I will say on two consecutive visits to this location the messy bar top and table tops were unique. I'm not sure if they are under staffed or simply very lax in management. It was not a one time occurrence and it does definitely take away from the overall experience to wait for food and empty glasses to be cleared from the table while you sit.”

“This was the best dining experience my wife and I have had in years. Randy was our server and was terrific! He was very enthusiastic and attentive. The manager (I can't remember her name) was very friendly and made sure that everything was perfect. My wife had scallops and I had blackened snapper. “I've been there twice, once during opening week with friends. We liked the burgers and chili slaw dogs. We were disappointed that fries and onion rings were frozen, not fresh, especially for the price. Music was too loud. Recently, I got the special burger. It's very good and hit the spot. Music was at a reasonable volume. They have other sandwich options: steak & cheese, tuna, pimento cheese, chicken salad. Nice options for a fast food place. I'm not sure why pimento cheese is a thing, but I plan to go back soon for the chicken salad.”

The ambiance is very nice, we like sitting at the bar when it’s just my wife and me. Decor is lots of dark oak, very country club feel, and even though this is part of the Sea Island Resort, this particular venue is open to the public, as is the adjoining golf shop. Golf is available only ti members and hotel guests. For golf fans, what could be more fun than dining in Davis Love’s very own grill?”
