First time at the restaurant and have nothing but positive things to say! Great atmosphere, amazing tasty food & drinks. It was extremely busy but courteous staff did create pleasant experience. Great addition to our neighborhood!
The food is really good. The ramen broth is thick and creamy and I really enjoyed it. The interior is unique and different. Overall I recommend this place.
This place recently opened in ATL, and I understand that this was a chain.
First impressions: WOW on interior!! 🤩
Service was decent, she was nice and patient and was friendly! Though didn’t let us split the check for more than 3 people. Also it’s not her fault but food took FOREVER. Had 5 bao, it all came one by one…. With 10-15 minutes gap.
Food: we ordered combo ramen for each person. Thai tea and lemonade was bomb. Loved that it was on the less sweet side. It comes with chashu bao. Verdict? Chashu was thick and juicy. Loved it. Ramen? We had the kimchi, tonkotsu (regular and black garlic). The tonkotsu was mediocre at best and did not have much flavor… quite bland. I had to dump a lot of pepper that was on the side to give it flavor. The chashu pork on it was nothing to mention about other than it’s paper thin!!!! The only thing I liked from it is the corn 🌽 in the ramen. We also got the tonkatsu omurice. It tasted the way it’s supposed to and I’m glad we have an authentic Japanese omurice in atl now! Lol. Now Desserts… they had matcha pudding and Sakura jello. Both was worth trying but not worth getting again.
Price….. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE.
So tldr: interior: 5/5, service 4/5, time of food coming out 1/5.
Ramen 2/5, chashu bao 4/5, omurice 4/5, drinks 5/5, desserts 3/5. Price 1/5
Would I come back? Probably if I’m in the area( it was out of the way for me ), but I won’t order ramen and at this point I’d rather get jinya.
Really yummy in my opinion. The noodles had a nice texture and the soup isn’t too thick which I like it not as thick. The combo is a great option to get a drink, bao bun, and ramen. The pork bao is very juicy. Plus the interior design and style is so pretty. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. And the server Z was very efficient and nice!
Also they have TBaar (a boba drink store) inside. The drinks here are GREAT! The boba has a nice chewy texture and the green tea here smells so good. Must visit boba place!!! I forgot to take a picture though sadly.
My first impression of Kyuramen is WOW the decoration is so nice and easy on the eyes. The restaurant is quite spacious. I went on their "soft opening" day, but they were fully prepared for the rush and all items on the menu were available it might as well be a grand opening.
The service was amazing, they gave us alcohol wipe to clean our hand and phone after we were seated. All the servers are very nice, and help each other out, so I don't have to wait for my server if he/she is busy with other tasks. We were lucky to get the bottom bee booth that looks very charming.
Now for the food, first thing first, save space for the dessert!
My wife and I ordered the combination B1 - Classic for $46.99 that includes:
A bowl of kyushu tonkotsu shio ramen ($15.99)
A bowl of (spicy) Sapporo Miso Ramen ($16.99)
Popcorn Chicken ($8.49)
Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly ($4.99)
Matcha Pudding with red beans ($4.99)
The shio ramen was much lighter in flavor and less saltier than the Miso. Both were good in its own way. The shio is refreshing with every spoon of broth while the miso brings a punch of flavor along with the perfect spiciness. Both came with half a marinated egg, but it was not cold like many places, it was still perfectly cooked. I just wish they give us 2, I love eggs. The pork chashu can be improved, the 2 pieces were thin and compared to surrounding ramen joints, and it was lacking in flavor. My bamboo shoots were still cold, I guess it was added after the broth were poured. I like how they have corn already added to the ramen, I love corn, and didn't have to order as extra on the side.
The popcorn chicken was a little disappointing, while it was not the worse we have had, it can definitely be improved. It was not crispy enough to be considered popcorn chicken, maybe chicken nuggets. It was quite salty we had to asked for some lemon to calm it down a notch.
The highlight of the evening was the matcha pudding and the jelly. I love both, the pudding was rich and very smooth. It was like eating cloud, I would imagine cloud would taste like this, matcha cloud. The red beans were full beans so you know they cooked them and not from the can. You have to try the matcha pudding. The jelly is very light in flavor like the yin to the matcha (yang) switching between the two dessert is very compelling. They are both not sweet at all and I love it. The sweetness is just enough to make you crave more.
Checkout was a breeze on the iPad, no hand calculation needed, it's all there with a few click.
I did not see the dessert crepes on the menu and hopefully they will be on the menu soon enough so I can return and just order a bunch of desserts.
