“I've been pleasantly surprised at the food quality and quantity each time I've been there, at least once a week since they opened the Danielsville location 7 miles from my house. There are 5 closer Mexican restaurants to me, but this one has won me over. Tonight I was in the mood for steak, and as most of you know, there is not a steakhouse anywhere closer than Athens. Some of the other Mex-Tex places list a steak on their menus but each place I tried I was served a thin piece of beef suitable for tacos, but not as an entree... however El Timon serves up a thick 12oz ribeye that was tasty and delicious. 😋 I'll be back more often. Pics attached of actual steak I had tonight, normally there are onions and peppers added, but I left mine off. Great tacos too! Stuffed full of goodness, plump full of flavor...yummy.”

“This place is a hidden jewel. I’ve been underwhelmed since moving back to this area with the options for quality food. Well look no further because this is the real deal. With one bite into the burrito, I could taste the freshness of the vegetables. The steak and rice were seasoned to perfection. And a box of fries and a drink were included all for under $12. I called ahead and the food was ready upon arrival, all with a friendly smile to greet me. I can finally say I have a new favorite for take-out!”

“Seat yourselves. They'll get to you QUICK. Ordered rib plate with mac n cheese/slaw and big bbq sandwich with hush puppies/pickles on side (get more pickles that way). Food platters were great! A lot of pulled pork on sandwich. Add some sweet sauce and it's good stuff. Bones pulled out of ribs with no effort. Meat falls right off of them and the sauce is really good too. No complaints except for one CON: Mild sauce is like tainted water. Maybe some experimenting to be done there. In all a solid 4 star place that makes sure you're taken care of”

“Wish I did take pictures, but had to rate this place we got in near the last minute some 20 minutes until closing. Let me just say I'm glad too, but I was recommended this place as having some of the best biscuits in town. It sure didn't disappoint either. If I'm in need of chicken biscuits from here or Bojanles. It's way out of the way for most, but it's worth it even if it makes you late for work lol.”
