“Our first time here since Davis Roundtable ran it. The only thing left from original owners are the table and chairs. It’s been completely remodeled. I had the 1/2 lb pork plate with okra, baked beans and Texas toast. It was all good. I didn’t have to use BBQ sauce to flavor the meat. It had some smoke and bark. My wife had the small BBQ pork plate with Mac-n-cheese. She enjoyed hers as well. The servers are young and did pretty well. My only suggestion is to keep the servers assigned to a certain area. Ours was working both sides of the restaurant. Taking away from his attentiveness. He did good considering. The bathrooms were clean and a one horse stall. We will be back for sure.”

“We had a job that took us to the Jasper area and we passed this neat looking diner restaurant on the way. So after the job on our way back we decided to have lunch here and so glad we did. There was two of us we both ordered burger and fries and a drink. I had the black and blue burger and my friend had a regular cheeseburger. The one thing that has stellar here is that they have a what I call a works bar kind of like a small salad bar that you can dress your burger exactly how you want. All the onions tomato lettuce just how you like it not just how some fast food company says like one half of a piece of lettuce two little rings of onion you get my drift. So your burger is done your way perfectly. This I think is a great addition. Thank you very much for this option. Both burgers were good the blue cheese was real blue cheese these are quality ingredients. Oh my gosh the french fries were so crispy and flavorful. Also there was garlic and pepper salt and seasoned salt available for your food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful overall a great place. I love the atmosphere the signs the music it's really a great diner type concept. this one is worth getting off the interstate and coming up highway 53 between Tate and Jasper and stopping by anytime you're in this area.”

“Been here 2 weeks in a row for Sunday breakfast. The first week it was AMAZING! The second trip was a complete disaster. I'm still giving them a decent rating in hopes they will get back on track and serve the delicious food they did one week earlier. We really need some good food in this area. I'm going to give them one more try. I'll be back with an update on next visit. UPDATE: Third trip: service was slow but the food was delicious! I'm definitely going back!!”

“I ordered two cakes from Lorena in the last month. She did a great job making them. One was a chocolate fudge cake with nuts and second was a vanilla cake with passion fruit cream. Everyone loved the cakes. They were delicious and great to look at. Ordering process is also easy, she gives all the options through text message and provides summary of options selected before placing the order. I would highly recommend this business.”

“Have visited this place twice now and love it. Last time we came for a baby shower and had about 15 people. They let us use the back room and did not rush us. The manager made sure to introduce herself and chat with us for a bit. Very attentive staff and good food. Love the fried green tomatoes. I like that they aren’t corn battered like most places around. They are unique to the Old Mulehouse and have a great flavor. Would recommend this place”
