“Happy House has gone downhill since the new owners took over. The prices have increased and the portion sizes are much smaller. The wait staff is unfriendly and frustrated easily when asked to refill drinks or sides. We used to go to Happy House weekly. Now, we just make the drive to Atlanta.”

“This establishment is first class in every sense of the word. The evening manager treats you like royalty and makes sure you're happy with your food and everything else. She is a very valuable part of the Captain D's team of professionals. There are other Captain D's restaurants closer to me, but they can't hold a light compared to this location. I don't mind driving the extra mile to be happy with my dining experience. Every other Captain D's in Augusta has HATEFUL, rude, and slow service so this location is the ONLY place where I go to enjoy fresh seafood. The Gordon Highway location told me and my guests that the all you can eat Sunday special ended at 7:00 PM, which was a bold faced LIE, and that's how I discovered the Washington Road location, where the manager actually waits on her customers and keeps an immaculate restaurant which means everything. You'll see the tremendous difference at this location when you give them just one try. Trust me, it is well worth driving the extra distance to receive first class service and fresh seafood where they actually THANK YOU for your business and make sure you are 100% pleased with your meal. Again, the evening manager makes her restaurant first class and she's not afraid to interact with her customers.”

“I frequently eat here with my 86 year old grandpa. We drive over 30 minutes (we pass waffle house, IHOP, sunshine grill) to come to this specific Denny's. The food is absolutely great, but the main reason we come here is for the friendly, genuine staff. Specifically, Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya. My 86 year old grandfather was recently widowed and his highlight of the day is going to eat lunch. Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya are the sweetest, most friendly ladies who put a smile on my grandfathers face every time he comes in. (He talks about them all the time!). Whoever reads this review, please give these ladies a hug for me. The friendly staff and great customer is the main reason we come here. If I won the lottery, I would certainly give half to these ladies. Thank you Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya for being the highlight of my grandfather's day!!”

“This place is definitely not a 5 star restaurant but it’s decent. There are some complaints from my last visit though. My food was clearly microwaved and was brought out on a piping hot plate to give the illusion that it was hot. The food was lukewarm at best. Even the cheese in my enchilada wasn’t melted. My fiancé asked for 2 bean and cheese enchiladas and was given one enchilada with only beans and one with only cheese. The chips and salsa were amazing and so was the hot sauce i ordered. There are pieces there that work but as a whole, it’s not fully there yet. Our sever was however really nice and sweet. He kept making sure things were alright but we didn’t have the heart to tell him there were issues with our food.”

“I'm a big fan of this "chain" restaurant that delivers high quality seafood and service in Augusta. Great selection of fresh fish and fast+friendly service. Expect LONG waits on Friday-Saturday, so I often eat at the bar. Lots of great options here both for food and wine. Good for groups of family or business. It's still a chain, but it's in the Fleming's family --so it's very upscale. My only complaint is how long the wait is on a Friday-Saturday and making sure they (the host/hostesses) set realistic expectations on the wait. A manager should be at host stand on weekends to ensure smooth running. Great bar area, friendly staff. Kitchen is open late for a sleepy Augusta.”
