“This establishment is first class in every sense of the word. The evening manager treats you like royalty and makes sure you're happy with your food and everything else. She is a very valuable part of the Captain D's team of professionals. There are other Captain D's restaurants closer to me, but they can't hold a light compared to this location. I don't mind driving the extra mile to be happy with my dining experience. Every other Captain D's in Augusta has HATEFUL, rude, and slow service so this location is the ONLY place where I go to enjoy fresh seafood. The Gordon Highway location told me and my guests that the all you can eat Sunday special ended at 7:00 PM, which was a bold faced LIE, and that's how I discovered the Washington Road location, where the manager actually waits on her customers and keeps an immaculate restaurant which means everything. You'll see the tremendous difference at this location when you give them just one try. Trust me, it is well worth driving the extra distance to receive first class service and fresh seafood where they actually THANK YOU for your business and make sure you are 100% pleased with your meal. Again, the evening manager makes her restaurant first class and she's not afraid to interact with her customers.”

“I frequently eat here with my 86 year old grandpa. We drive over 30 minutes (we pass waffle house, IHOP, sunshine grill) to come to this specific Denny's. The food is absolutely great, but the main reason we come here is for the friendly, genuine staff. Specifically, Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya. My 86 year old grandfather was recently widowed and his highlight of the day is going to eat lunch. Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya are the sweetest, most friendly ladies who put a smile on my grandfathers face every time he comes in. (He talks about them all the time!). Whoever reads this review, please give these ladies a hug for me. The friendly staff and great customer is the main reason we come here. If I won the lottery, I would certainly give half to these ladies. Thank you Ms. Phyllis and Ms. Tonya for being the highlight of my grandfather's day!!”

“This place is definitely not a 5 star restaurant but it’s decent. There are some complaints from my last visit though. My food was clearly microwaved and was brought out on a piping hot plate to give the illusion that it was hot. The food was lukewarm at best. Even the cheese in my enchilada wasn’t melted. My fiancé asked for 2 bean and cheese enchiladas and was given one enchilada with only beans and one with only cheese. The chips and salsa were amazing and so was the hot sauce i ordered. There are pieces there that work but as a whole, it’s not fully there yet. Our sever was however really nice and sweet. He kept making sure things were alright but we didn’t have the heart to tell him there were issues with our food.”

“I'm a big fan of this "chain" restaurant that delivers high quality seafood and service in Augusta. Great selection of fresh fish and fast+friendly service. Expect LONG waits on Friday-Saturday, so I often eat at the bar. Lots of great options here both for food and wine. Good for groups of family or business. It's still a chain, but it's in the Fleming's family --so it's very upscale. My only complaint is how long the wait is on a Friday-Saturday and making sure they (the host/hostesses) set realistic expectations on the wait. A manager should be at host stand on weekends to ensure smooth running. Great bar area, friendly staff. Kitchen is open late for a sleepy Augusta.”

“I was in town for my my niece's graduation, and sister chose this location for the post graduation. I was a reservation for a group of roughly 25-30 people. The food was pretty good, but the service was outstanding. Our servers, Felix and Miguel, were attentive, helpful (two toddlers in the group so there were definitely spills) and just in overall good spirits. They served our group with minimal error in orders, they made suggestions as to their menu and worked very hard to provide excellent customer service. I would definitely return with a large group, if this is their standard of service!”

I saw employees carrying infants and toddlers behind the bar area. Instead of waiting on the customer staff was to busy engaging in side conversations. I have witness this on three occasions at this restaurant. Staff using profanity in front of management and also overly intoxicated after shift hours to a point the manager had to take away their keys. Extremely an unprofessional environment but I blame management”

“They did only have one person working on a Friday night; however, she did a really good job with not being intimidated by the accruing line behind me or frazzled into forgetting details important to my order. She held it together by staying focused on the customer at hand. A few times apologized to everyone for being alone and it not being their usual speedy service. Assured us she would be with us as soon as she could. Yet, she was not overly apologetic wasting time with her apologies. Stayed husy with me once finished with the customer before me. Polite, neat, clean, helpful and once home my food was highly acceptable. She had not screwed up my order. Everything was on point. Excellent location and service. Was visiting some family close by and made sure that this place was on my “To Go” places. Saw some guy leave a review about the decor and having kids around. If you’re looking for decor, go to a decoration store. If you don’t like having people or kids around, stay by your lonesome self at home. But if you’re looking for great food, this is the place to be. I’ve been to a lot of places that have lots of decorations and the food isn’t great and I can make better food myself. Personally, I’d rather have good food at a restaurant, than it having some fancy decorations. I go to restaurants for food that tastes great, which this place never disappoints. I’m really glad that I was able to make the trip to visit family and eat at this place again.”

“First time here and highly impressed. Avocado toast is AWESOME! Fresh avocado and tomato on hearty full grain toast. They had to make fresh avocado spread and it took longer than expected and manager comped my breakfast. Absolutely didn't have to do that as I wasn't in a hurry and it really didn't take that long. Greatly appreciate the thought. Mark was my waiter and was very apologetic. I respect that but, again, not necessary. I'll be back for sure.”
