“The Universe brought me to Sandy's as the place we originally planned to visit had moved to a different location. We were so hungry and I spotted Sandy's across the street. I'd read about Sandy's so many times on Yelp, but since I rarely come out to the North Shore, I'd never had the opportunity to visit them. Ryan, the owner and operator, greeted us with a smile and took our order. He told us that Sandy's is named after his Mom and that instantly made me so happy that we decided to pull on the side of the road to try this little hidden gem. My friend Meg ordered a veggie sandwich and I got the basic cheeseburger. We waited about ten minutes and he called us when our orders were ready to go. We were both famished from a day of yoga at Turtle Bay and took our sandwiches to the car to consume right away. It was so crazy because both sandwiches were the BEST we'd ever had! The veggie sandwich, which appeared to be so basic, had so much flavor. My cheeseburger, although simple just melted in my mouth. I kept alternating bites of the veggie sandwich and the cheeseburger, trying to decide which one I enjoyed more. I still can't decide and the next time I go back I'm going to order BOTH! Ryan really puts his heart into what he does and there are no words which can properly describe the feeling you get when you eat his food. He just wants you to be happy and that's the secret sauce! If you love a simply meal full of joy then you'll definitely have to pay a visit to Sandy's Sandwiches.”

“Pretty nice taco truck right next to some beautiful North Shore beach scenery. I ordered a chicken burrito and a bottle of water, altogether it came out to $20 which is pretty typical for a food truck in Hawaii so I can't really fault them for that, you pay for the locale. The burrito was decent, very full, but the chicken was a bit dry. Which is why I had to knock a star off. The sauces redeemed it a bit by being pretty great. All in all worth it if you're in the area.”

We got the Jax Paradise which is basically what us mainlanders would call a “Hawaiian Pizza.” It was very tasty, especially the dough. A tad too much arugula on top though, which was easily remedied by picking off a few leaves. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back”
