“If you are in the mood for some great Indian curry in a hurry and in the downtown Honolulu area, you have got to check this place out. The food is just amazing. So fresh and full of flavors. Don't worry if you are not a fan of hot food, they do have mild curries to choose from. Also, being Indian food, there are lots of vegetarian options for those living on a plant based diet. For me, it has got to have meat and be spicy. I zeroed in on the Pepper Chicken and Lamb Tikka Masala. Wow, both were over the top with great spices and preparation. The yellow rice was a nice compliment for the curries, but if you want brown rice, they got that as well. They have a few other items other then curry to complete or make your meal and I really enjoyed my homemade Ginger Lemonade that I got to wash down the spice with. Really was perfect to cleanse the palate after such a flavor extravaganza. If you need to get your Indian curry fix on, I really recommend this place.”

“Breakfast burrito (~$6.50) was so delicious, I came back for lunch. Lunch burrito was even more delicious (bigger and ~$12). Food quality was excellent, staff were very friendly. Definitely not "fast" food, it takes them a few minutes to put the burritos together. It looks like they want to be mostly a juice place, but people only bought burritos when I was there! A gem of a place, if I find myself in the area again, I'll stop in there.”

“It's my favorite mocha stop, as I start the day. Staff are welcoming, whether there is a new face, or a familiar one. There is ease of access while down town, offen meeting folks we see frequently or like today, Jack who I haven't seen for years! Large variety on menue & specials too!”

“I’ve been eating at this Korean take out spot for years. Located in Bishop Square, they serve all the classics you’d expect from a Korean restaurant. They also have breakfast bentos in the morning which are cheap and satisfying.”

“Don't know what to get? Get the pick multiple item option! I had no clue what I wanted but I knew I wanted some of everything. The staff was absolutely amazing in helping make suggestions to experience local favorites as a visitor to the area. Great portion sizes, wonderful flavor, and amazing experience overall!”

“Jojo catered our wedding and our guests still rave about it a year later! So excited she opened a spot downtown. Just checked it out today for the first time and it’s super cozy. Def worth a trip and great option for catering a company etc event.”

“I popped in here early morning after getting off the bus and was drawn in by the low prices. I ended up grabbing a quick bite to eat (french toast & two eggs) for a little over $6. Perfect portion, great taste and quality for price. Fast enough I was still able to catch my transfer across the street. Fantastic location I will surely be back on my Monday commute!”

“It's best if you get a reservation. The food was enjoyable and the beer selection was satisfying. I'm a cider drinker myself and they had a pineapple cider which is top notch.”

“This place is located downtown and would be a great spot for lunch. Dishes are Lebanese with a bit of Japanese fusion because the new owner wanted to add his own touch to it. Everything on menu is under $10 (except for one item) so its definitely affordable. Only downside is it is small venue with limited seating. Check them out”

“I go to Aloha Subs pretty frequently for lunch. Their sandwiches are delicious. Just half a sub is about all I can eat, they are very filling because they don't skimp on the meat or the toppings. Bread is fresh and they make it quickly.”

“Just a regular Subway. The staff is quick and knows how to turnover sandwiches for those quick downtown lunches. I always order ahead online if I can and I've never had an issue with my platters or sandwiches being late. They're also happy to pack stuff on the side like mustard, mayo, jalepenos, etc. that not everyone might want on a sandwich. Space is small but there are tables outside. Also, a Starbucks next door.”

“Came here on a Wednesday for dim sum and instead of the usual carts being wheeled throught the restaurant, we ordered dim sum off of menus with pictures and price dots. Made it easy to know how much we were spending and food came out hot. We started early at 11am and the place was mostly empty. By 12noon when we left, the business community had every table filled. Good place to meet for an air-conditioned, table service meal.”

“I've been missing my minimum 1x per week hot dog lunch near the courts ... yet I was lucky enough to see that tent from a distance the other day when walking down to Kahanamoku Beach during lunch break, and I got one of John's great hot dogs that I'd been stuck without these many weeks; so glad I stumbled upon the temp. location!”

“The food is great. The service is a bit slow but great. The mint water was a little too sweet and not enough mint to have a taste of mint. I recommend to come a little before noon if you are on a time crunch.”
