Home of the Hoagy

Love to come here when I come to Chicago. Best steak sandwich ever. However, the lady who took my order was so busy trying to tell me there was only one size steak (asked for a small) that she didn't get my fries I ordered. The sandwich ended up being enough though. Service was faster than it was when we were there in March last year. We drove all the way fro Downer's Grove for the sandwich and missed the opening act of the Legend's Fest...was it worth it? HELL YES. See you in December when I come back for the Great Xscape Tour.

I now give it five stars because the wait has diminished from thirty minutes to only about twenty LBVS... Steak hoagie.... BEST!

Best steak sandwiches in the city. I keep trying other places & always wind going back. Their getting better w/getting people in & out. They have parking.

Love, Love, Love this place, love the staff, love the food! Get a hoagie! Whether it is regular or turkey it's up to you! Get a steak sandwich, sweet or hot peppers, it's up to you, get fries with sauce and get an Icee to wash it all down. Whatever they have on the menu the answer is yes, yes, yes! Of course you are going to wait a long time, even if you call ahead, that's because the food is always fresh and delicious! You must go! I've been going there ever since I was a child. I grew up eating at the Home of the Hoagy! I simply love it! It's a part of my DNA! I am their biggest fan, they are family!

Great food! Horrible wait! With a business this popular they should have figured out servicing customers better. Could be so much more lucrative.
