S2 Southside Bar & Grill

THIS PLACE IS A VIBE. THE DJ KNOWS HOW TO READ THE CROWD & THE BARTENDERS ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE & HELPFUL. EXCEPT FOR THAT NEW CHICK SHE WAS KINDOF RUDE BUT SHE LEFT AND EVERYONE ELSE WAS GREAT.

Chrissy was my bartender and she gave great service. She was extremely attentive and she helped me decide what I wanted. Food came up in a nice time and it was amazing. Also they are open late and the atmosphere complimented the experience very well.

Today I came in and order the lamb chop dinner. The food was delicious and my waitress Chrisy was great. The food came out quick and she consistently checked on me and gave suggestions for items to try on the menu. I will be coming back.

Made an intentional effort to check out S2 on 111th and Ashland. It is really nice. The staff all were nice and went out of their way. They made it feel like you were hanging with your cousins. Of course, the food is amazing. Chatted up the owner a bit and he seems really tired from working so hard but excited about what he created. Lot of custom details in the space. Parking. Problem free area. Customers were all types coming from work or winding down with frozen cocktails. I had a good laugh with the lady ordering TWO suic!des!

The chicken was crispy like a chicken dinner from church on sunday. Mashed potatoes were homemade like black folks like. Everything was fire and smartly done. I didn’t get it this time but the short ribs are some of the best I ever had.

I’m really greatful that they did this. It is really nice to have really nice things on the southside.
