Big Star West Town

Went there for a Mother's Day dinner and it was basically empty. Nobody dining in and only 3 other tables outside. It was Great...for me! I didn't need to yell to have a discussion and service was fast... but after the other tables left, it seemed/felt like there was a reason there wasn't a crowd like there was at Diego, just a block down on Ogden. Now that place was jammed packed! Gonna try that place at some point.

I may like big star mariscos more than the original big star. The seafood is phenomenal and the service is great. The general manager ensured we were enjoying our meal and went out of his way to ask us how everything was and check in. It was so kind! In addition to the great seafood they make an amazing quesabirria!

Absolutely the *BEST* place to be in all of Chicago every Tuesday for half-priced oysters. Delightful staff who will ensure your total happiness-- THANK YOU, JOSH! Terrific tunes from their vinyl record player. My personal favorite from my last visit the day after Christmas was the greatest hits album by Chicago Blues legend Magic Sam featuring "Easy Baby", "21 Days in Jail", among other classic Blues tunes.

2nd time here — just as good as last time.
I over ordered … as standard.
Bloody Mary was perfect…. Get it.
Tacos always interesting — the mushroom one was my stand out… the Brussels sprout one, was my wife’s.

Decent brunch vibe… and fun music — worth a visit
