So yummy! When we went in, the lady who runs the place seemed totally short-staffed and overwhelmed with lunchtime takeout orders. But she somehow turned out a huge, beautiful lunch for us in record time. Loved the Sichuan string beans, sesame noodles, silken tofu with shrimp, and scallion pancakes. She also threw in some extra dishes, like a sweet rice porridge and hand cut noodles in spicy sauce, for free. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Chicago Chinatown!

We were so impressed with the food it was very authentic! I loved the Mapo tofu, the sweet potato cakes, and the egg drop soup was an amazing huge bowl for $3! There seemed to be one person working but they did an incredible job and even gave us a free side and extra water bottles because they felt bad for our wait but honestly it wasn't even bad at all. We will absolutely be back again!

Most restaurants in Chicago's Chinatown serve Cantonese or southern Chinese cuisine, so I was thrilled to find some northern specialties on the menu here. The stewed eggplant and tomatoes with eggs were both superb, prepared fresh. Anyone who grew up with a Mandarin-speaking family will remember eating tomatoes and eggs, and these tasted just like what my parents used to make for me. Almost cried a little bit while eating. Service was also on point, very attentive and prompt.

I drove 1.5 hrs to pick up some dinner from here and it was absolutely so worth it. Their dishes tasted SO MUCH like home I almost cried. Awesome authentic food, the nice lady who packed the order for me gave me free desserts and a free veggie dish. Amazing food+Superb service!!! 5 stars for EVERYTHING. Thank you for comforting my homesick stomach. This place will always have a piece of my heart.
