Tanta Chicago

Giving 5 stars because the food was *chef’s kiss* amazing! Found this place on Google and just showed up without a reservation; got bar seats but honestly, I’m glad I did. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive - also knowledgeable of the food. To quote my boyfriend, their empanadas are “one of the best things I’ve ever eaten”. Exaggeration? Maybe. But it attests to how good the food is. The ink spaghetti and shrimp was so fresh and flavorful. Everything was just delicious and worth the price! The atmosphere and decor was very nice as well. I don’t regret driving out to Chicago for this place, best Peruvian food I’ve ever had.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
I have eaten here 3x and love it more each time. The food is freshly made, complex, and so flavorful.
If I made a checklist of everything I require in food, Tanta checks every box for me.
Great for vegetarian/vegan or meat eaters.
Tanta does not disappoint.

All is superb! Food was great! Ambiance was beautiful. We had our dinner at their outdoor rooftop and the atmosphere was amazing. Our server was also great! We ordered multiple dishes and all were tasting very good. We will definitely go back!

This place was MAGICAL. Love the vibe, decor, customer service, and of course the FOOD! I was very satisfied as a native Peruvian. It was delicious! Also, Francesca was amazing. She went above and beyond with her kindness, attention, insights, and overall service. I highly recommend this place!

Came here for an anniversary last weekend and had a great time. We tried the 6-course experience menu, every dish was better than the last. The best part is that there are items on the experience menu we would not typically order, but were absolutely delicious! The cocktails were awesome too.
