We ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, but our order got lost in the Grand Opening chaos for awhile (no biggie!) “Oh man. I’ve lived in the Chicago area my whole life, and Burt’s pizza is as good as anything in the city. They have an outdoor patio during the summer, and a great atmosphere indoors as well. I have visited four times now, and each time is as good as the last. With $2 Coors light drafts and phenomenal pan pizza, I cannot recommend this place enough. Just wish I could have stopped in when Burt was still around!”

“Portillo's is a good all in one quasi-local chain for "chicago food" other than pizza. Their hot dogs are fine, their Italian beefs are good but where they excel is with the simple burger. Whether with or without cheese and/or bacon, the ground beef they use has the perfect amount of fat, which seeps into the roll making it soggy and it is wonderful. The chocolate cake has a great reputation and it is good, but I wouldn't call it great.”
