“I can see many people who placed online orders tonight are complaining about the wait. My husband and I placed our carry out order in person and waited patiently for an hour. I used to be an assistant manager of 2 restaurants so I guess I am more understanding of this situation. Only 1 person was trained to make pizzas She was busting her butt trying to keep up and the team was very apologetic about the wait. Before you write negative comments, live in their shoes. Our food was delicious and hot and for a reasonable price”

“Fast seating but lines, at peak hours. Wait staff friendly & polite. The omelets and eggs have no soul....stick to pancakes. ...no one can mess up something doused in syrup. Good spot for a business meeting with ample parking....just do not think breakfast food taste is exceptional. Maybe dinner is better...”

“Hadn't been here in years and I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was good and plentiful, and reasonably priced. There were some new options for me to try out next time, but I went with the typical chicken mean this time around. Counter service was very fast and the staff was friendly. Seating was easy to get and the restaurant was nice and quiet.”

“Hackney's may well be a tradition in the north suburbs. It's always packed, but they are so good at logistics that it's never too long of a wait. Excellent brewery right next door called "Macushla Brewing Co." Which Hackneys will deliver their food to at no extra cost!”
