“I love this place. The menu is not as delicate as many other Italian restaurants, but it is on the higher end of the scale for food flavor for Southern Italian cuisine in the near west suburbs. Once I had the sausage risotto dish, I can never have anything else ever again! OMG! They took it off the menu but they still make it for me on request. If you love Italian sausage, it transforms rice, which I normally hate, into an amazing meal with some tomatoes and tiny bit of arugula. The wine and beverages are limited here, but always suitable for pairing a quality drink with your meal. But you come to this place for the food!”

“Jimmy's is my local neighborhood restaurant establishment. It usually takes a nice while for orders to get ready and that can get annoying. With that being said, I have no complaints about the freshness of my food. The orders are made once they are placed and the food is good and ready once I get home. The attitude of those taking your order depends upon the attitude that you give. I have not had any issues with the lovely ladies taking my order and I have sat in the lobby for upwards of 40 minutes waiting for a fresh order. I had worked a long day and even dozed of slightly. I have heard complaints about the time that it takes for the food to get ready but these same people are back placing another order when I am. If you feel that strongly about the food or the service, go grocery shopping and cook for yourself. Until then, enjoy your freshly cooked fried chicken and all the rest from 93rd and Halsted at Jimmy's Best.”
