I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I wasn't expecting much. I hadn't heard of this place or the beer. The building and ambiance were amazing. There is plenty of seating. Service was average. There weren't many people in. Food was better than average. Drinks were very good, and I had a flight and cocktails. I enjoyed the Cocktails the most.
I went on a Saturday around 1pm. Took a few minutes to find a parking spot but there was a very large party inside. We were seated fairly quickly despite the large group. Scanned the QR code to view the menu, I ordered the chicken pasta primavera & BBQ chicken pizza, which were very tasty. Other patron with me tried the Southwest Salad & was pleased. Not a perfect five because of the noise from the large group. 🙉
Really nice taproom and restaurant out near the Oakbrook mall. Seating outdoors was very easy to get early Saturday afternoon, so I can’t say what peak hours would look like. Got a few beers (a flight of four of any of their beers are $11, so good value) and the corn dip and they were solid. Will prob come again to try their other food and beer.
I honestly figured this would be one of those overy done-up pretentious spots one tends to find around Oak Brook Center, but I was wrong. Yes, it's pricey, but the quality is there so you're getting what you're paying for. I ordered their Big Mick which, as a fan of Coming To America, I pretty much had to. It's exactly as described in the movie and I loved it. Think of it as a Big Mac with better ingredients.
Their beer selection, while small for a brewery/taproom, was varied and each of us were able to find a suitable beer that we loved. And if beer is not your thing, they have cocktails too.
I'll be sure to stop by again next time I'm in the area.
Overdue visiting a new brewery and this spot did not disappoint. Visited back on March 18 and, of course, posted up at the bar. Was lucky because of March Madness games. Definitely a nice crowd and knowledgeable bartenders/servers. Uniquely different beers and happy their seltzer was not similar to other breweries who have the usual pineapple flavor - theirs was apricot instead. I also like how they do not sell other brews besides their own. At least, that is what I heard and saw. Their Beer Battered Pickles are probably some of the best I have had - not traditionally pickle chips style but delicious batter. Also ordered their Vegan Chili which was chunky, flavorful, and if I recall, had a nice kick. It was a very cold night and I wanted a warm drink. They did not have Irish Coffee, but I asked for a Hot Toddy, and one of our bartenders put a nice spin to it, pictured here as an Early Grey Hot Toddy. Would love to visit again or their other locations!
