Been eating here since they opened. Great food and robotic servers. Very fun and reasonably priced plates. Quick service too.
Just went back for a meal and ordered some chicken deep fried and shrimp deep fried and they served me Raw chicken. I told the guy who comes around and asked how the meal was that they serve me raw chicken. He said he was sorry and walked away, Raw chicken equal salmonella poisoning. Can’t wait to see if I’m gonna get sick or not. I won’t be back. Nobody cares if they poison you here.
I came here with a group of eight people (keep in mind that the largest table seats 4, so larger parties will be seated separately). When we arrived we were told that their system was down and that they could only accept cash. Once we told them we could pay cash, the lady seemed disappointed and proceeded to ask us 2 more times if we were absolutely certain we could it cash. She then walked us halfway to our table and that was the last of our service here. The space itself is very fun and festive. The prizes, the robots, the conveyer belt, the plate counter…it all makes for a fun and unique dining experience!
The sushi itself was good, not great. Is it the best sushi you’ll ever have? No. Is it good? Absolutely. There are tons of options it became a little overwhelming to pick and try.
I do wish that the service was better and that the machines/robot were better cleaned. I felt gross touching them at times. Other than that, I do recommend and would return!
It was a fun date night spot! I like that the prices of all plates on the belt are 3.30 maybe for a few others might be more but I’ll find out another time and they had a ton of variety compared to other locations I have been too. Overall a great spot for a bowl of ramen or some sushi! I will forsure be back when my sushi craving comes back. The fact it wasn’t packed too was even better! Usually have to wait 30-40 min for a spot. Go check it out and see what you think for yourself! Also they have a cool robot who brings you drinks :)
This was a repeat visit for our family. Highly recommend based on the atmosphere, as long as you're not expecting high end, designer sushi. It may take some trial and error, but for a few bucks per serving, it is worth trying new things.
My wife and kids are a bit more picky and typically order custom off the screen, which arrives fairly quickly on the secondary conveyor. I prefer the novelty of a variety of small plates that come on the main conveyor. The empty slots on the conveyor that others complain about, I see as a positive, because I know the food is not sitting there too long and I am happy to wait for fresh made food.
The big reason to come is for a fun environment. We made this trip specifically for this month's partnership with We Bare Bears from Cartoon Network. I think last time we came, they partnered with My Hero Academia. For every 15 plates you eat off the conveyor, you get a small prize dispensed automatically. We also got a 3 piece cup set for spending over $60!
If you plan on coming here a few times a year or are a regular for lunch, make sure you download the app for rewards. The We Bare Bears giveaway was a result of us being Rewards members. If any of it sounds complicated, the employees are quick to help when you hit the call button.
Lastly, make sure you order drinks so you get to see the adorable robot server that delivers to your table. Makes me smile every time!
I think the experience was decent. Just a thing or two that needs improvement from what I've seen.
While I don't mind ordering food through the screen, there were a lot of empties on the conveyor belt. I get it that lunch time is a slower pace time, but it would be nice to have a variety between the screen and the conveyor belt.
The sauce trays are useful, the design on them throws me off because the gold splash paint on them tricks me that they're used Soy Sauce splashes on them. I think perhaps change them out to "no design" trays. Although I did find a tray or two that actually had sauce stains on them. Whoever is washing them needs to make sure these don't go out on the dining tables or do checks to make sure they are clean before the next customer sits down.
The dining atmosphere during lunch was peaceful. I recommend visiting during these times rather than the weekend evenings where it's packed. The staff were nice. Just hit that "call" button and they'll help you out! And watch where you are walking, they do have the cute delivery robots driving around.
Overall, not bad. Could be better. I'll be back again on a different day to give it another whirl. Schaumburg location is better, but Oak Brook still has some work to improve.
