I have found my new favorite Indian restaurant. I have always heard good things but today I got to check out Naansense and try a couple of the menu items. Needless to say the food was delicious and I will be coming back regularly. I highly recommend checking this place out.
I feel this restaurant was a strong 3.5, so I rounded up instead of down. The service was good, the prices aren’t crazy, and the location is convenient. My primary issue was that some of the food just lacked the actual spice and seasoning you expected from Indian dishes. Samosa chaat, for example, just bland. It had all the proper ingredients, but the samosa just didn’t taste like anything and neither did the toppings mixture. Additionally, the naan had no garlic on it and also tasted bland. The high points, though, were the Mac and cheese and the vada pav. Both were tasty and would be things we would order again. As an Indian, I probably have higher expectations of this cuisine. There is promise to the restaurant, but it just needs better execution on some dishes.
Ok. Here goes. So ... Each location within a chain of restaurants can be different... Right? Here in Oak Brook location...... The presentation seems better. Restaurant and food presentations. Food has nice spice blend. Chicken seemed more moist. Condiment bar seemed clean and well placed. Perhaps all these things are because this location is of course newer than Naperville.
The only real issue at present is this AWFUL parking lot design.
It was my first time there and the rest of my families' second time and the food was absolutely delicious 😋 fresh and authentic. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They can prepare the chicken and fries without spice if your little one can't do some of the spicier things.
This fast-food Indian spot is super cute! I tried the chicken kebab platter, and it was delicious, served with two sides and naan. The naan was fresh and flavorful, and the sides, especially the Chala fries, were tasty and plentiful! I also enjoyed the lamb kebab platter—the lamb was excellent. The restaurant has a lovely decor and offers self-ordering and outdoor seating, with plenty of self-serve condiments. Highly recommended for a unique and satisfying dining experience!
