“A nice place, typical bar/restaurant with friendly staff. They have a wing special on Tuesday and other specials too. I’ve had mixed results here, sometimes very good, other times disappointing. Usually, their burgers are fantastic but a month or so ago, I was served one with a bun that was completely saturated in grease and juices, unappetizing and not worth eating. We’ve gotten lukewarm fries here a couple of times too. We’ll probably go again because they’re conveniently located but hope their food quality becomes more consistently good.”

“I have to write about our fantastic experience with c&k today. We went in as a last minute surprise ride to teach the girls about bakeries and Cindy welcomed us in with fresh baked cinnamon rolls. They showed us everything they made that day. It was INCREDIBLE. The place was so welcoming and clean. I’ve never been in a bakery so bright and cheery! They had a huge selection that my girls were drooling at the windows. The sisters have a book collection of cake designs while you sit down for some coffee. Kathy pooped behind the door to show us what she was baking and say hello. It was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to go back!”

“First time there. It was for taco Tuesday. Servers are very friendly and attentive. Food was great. I preferred the hard shell over the soft, but both were good. Seating can be difficult when it's busy. We were lucky enough to spot a table of people getting up, otherwise we may have been standing around for awhile. I noticed several people just relaxing at their table long after they were done eating which doesn't help, but that's their prerogative. Overall great place and I plan to return.”

“Really great simple home cooking best for light days or hot days or cold days with their fresh soup. They make everything by hand so when they run out l, they are out. Their pies are out of this world and the #1 reason to go. Pecan pie or their chocolate moose pie is to die for. Also for history Buffs, Alton is the one of the most haunted towns in America the building that My Just Desserts is in was actually a law office for Ab Lincoln.”

“Delicious and fresh food. The portions are generous. The are plenty of meat and vegetarian options, and the dessert sampler was delightful. There is ample seating indoors and outdoors, and the service was good. You order inside, and they give you a number on a little post to place on the table, then go sit where you like. When the food is ready, they bring it out and know who to bring it to buy the number. The crab bisque was very good!!”

“Not a bad little place. The food is great. I love the building. The service has been less than desirable both times. The first visit we asked for our checks to be split. They charged me and 1 other guest correctly. The third guest was charged for the entire bill and had to wait to be refunded. The server did not even apologize. Our next visit was my birthday dinner. We had a party of 8. This means that Gratuity was already included (we still tip on top of that). We were treated as if our tip had already been determined and the server had no time to help us. Had to ask several times for condiments and the side order of pickles that 1 guest requested. Drinks stayed empty.”

“Wow!!! This was a fluke find. My husband googled “pizza Alton Illinois” and we found this gem. Fabulous service & AMAZING pizza! We ordered 2 large and barely had leftovers. Save room for dessert. The gooey butter cake is delicious. Next time we will order more pizza and more cake so I know we have leftovers.”
