“Had Catrina's Express for the first time tonight on the recommendation of my brother and nephew (who have already become regulars there apparently)...this place is ??????.. I was struck immediately upon walking in. It is so super clean and very nice....I couldn't believe it!!! I had a very good feeling right then it was going to be a great experience and it definitely was! They were extremely kind and welcoming and really seemed to appreciate the business. The food was so fresh it was crazy!!! The salsa blew me away....it was outstanding! The Catrina's Steak Burrito was delish and the refried beans were perfect. I have to say this is the top Mexican restaurant in Illinois south of Chicagoland as far as taste and freshness...and would give them up north a real run for their money!!! This absolutely sets the new standard for Mexican food in the area. Final thought: I will be back tomorrow to try some tacos. Not even kidding. Thanks Catrina's!!!!”

“Amazing!! How exciting to discover this new and incredible restaurant on Knoxville! The burgers are perfection. Every ingredient is fresh and obviously handmade. The burger patty was tender with the perfect amount of crunch. Rather indescribable actually. The fries, likewise, were freshly cut and cooked to perfection. We ordered a caramel pecan swirl frozen custard topped with chunks of cookie dough. I only have the picture of the empty cup because we consumed it (groaning with delight) before a decent picture could be captured. To all of this, add an absolutely spot-on price point for family eating. The restaurant was super clean, and health protocols are clearly taken. We enjoyed eating outside under the super large patio umbrellas. A+++ Peoria, you struck gold with this one!”

“Had a wonderful meal at Vero Italiano last night. Great outdoor ambiance and fantastic, authentic pasta. Having been to Italy several times, I would have to agree with the restaurant’s name—Vero Italiano—True Italian. Even the cozy outdoor setting reminded us of Italy with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. Very classy and yet so reasonably priced. Excellent wine and gluten free pasta along with other non pasta entrees. The service also was outstanding. We will definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended!”

“Good service, also fast. Eggs cooked perfectly. Buttermilk pancakes good, but not great (like Cracker Barrel's). Downside... No water served or offered with coffee, had to ask for sweetener for coffee, butter with pancakes, and for syrup to be warmed. Coffee was very good, but my dad's decaf was barely warm. We will give them another try.”

“Breakfast this morning for 16 people including five children under 5yrs was great. Sarah G, our server was amazing and very accommodating to provide drinks, refills, and hot meals promptly to our large group. Service and food was exceptional. We were asked several times throughout the meal by many staff members and the manager if anything was needed. Great teamwork was observed in the lovely and comfortable Eatery. The dining area was spacious so we did not feel crowded at all. Plenty of booths were also available too for dining. We will definitely return.”

“I share with you my empty basket because these tacos were gone almost as fast as the tacos came out. It's a nice and clean restaurant with friendly employees. The prices are great for what you get. We asked for a side of beans and they gave us refrieds in a silver bowl with enough for two. The al pastor tacos were freshly cut off the slab with fresh pineapple and the chicken tacos were cooked to perfection. Can't say enough good things about this place. 10/10 would eat here every week.”

“Overall, a pleasant experience for brunch and great food. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was very tasty. I would say that the portions were rather large, perhaps even too large for certain dishes. Plating and space was an issue, my one meal (pancake combo) came on 3 plates. I'd still recommend this for a brunch option, it's a newer restaurant and needs to work out some minor kinks”
