“It was an official meeting and dinner with the president. We had a private room reserved prior to our arrival. The dinner was started with calamari as an appetizer. Everyone chose their own main course. The calamari was well seasoned and has fried banana peppers with it. I had chosen red snapper. It was made with a sauce rich in butter and capers.”

“One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I walked in and asked our server Kristel if she could accommodate 40 soccer players and families. She placed us together in their back room and was able to take care of everyone very efficiently. She somehow kept our drinks full, orders straight and the food hot. The menu also had delicious healthier options. I highly recommend the Brickhouse Grill & Pub and ask for Kristel, especially if you have a large group!”

“One thing keeping this restaurant open is their food. Service needs retraining. Waitress made way to many trips back and forth. Out of 4 meals one was stone cold. Lettuce on my sons burger was old. Didn’t place butter on a dish with potatoes. Never asked and as a patron should never have to ask. While we were there another table had the manager already at their table . Never came back to ask if we needed more to drink either. Not sure if this gal was having a bad day but it wasn’t just with us this was happening to. Paid the bill and left. Not going to go back either. Save your money and go to another restaurant.”

“First stop at the tap house. Very nice place, clean and modern. I tried the pony shoe, I was going to get the horse shoe, but I told myself that the pony shoe was big enough. I had the hamburger shoe, my wife tried the breaded chicken shoe, excellent choices for us both. The pony shoes where plenty big enough for one person, can't imagine the size of the horse shoe. I tried the blueberry stout again wonderful choice. I will return.”

“This is a great place to enjoy locally grown food deliciously prepared. We started with a Vanilla Beer that was like a stout, with a bit of vanilla. Served as it would be in Europe, chilled not cold. Then the daily soup and beet salad - excellent. The special was a well prepared halibut with veggies. The other dish was one of the best pot roasts I've ever had-also served with veggies. For dessert, coffee and the ice cream/lemon cookies (shared). The service was very good and the decor relaxing. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.”

“The Alamo is a decent place for drinks and bar style food. I was there for the 217 Burger Week entrant. It was good. Staff is nice, place looks clean, attracts a fairly mellow crowd and it's a fairly convenient location. Only thing I didn't care for was the live music and that we were literally sat at the table closest to stage and it was impossible to talk to my companions. The music wasn't bad just unexpected which was a bit of a bummer for us. Would go back but would definitely check their live music roster just to be safe.”
