Awesome not your ordinary pizza and it was delicious. The building is very historical and completely remodeled. Its worth the drive to see this place and enjoy the pizza.
Hands down the best pizza in Fort Wayne. Johnny is a true chef and takes pride in each pizza that goes in and comes out of the oven. With his extensive background in vegan food, make sure you try his vegan and vegetarian options. If you swing by M-F during lunch hours,
I travel extensively in my business and have experienced some sone of the finest Pizza ever placed in an oven. And Johnny OX is right at the top of my NY Style Pizza list! His pizza’s are Absolutely Phenomenal! Johnny is a True Artist and every Pizza is a Masterpiece. If you love New York Style Pizza, you definitely do not want to pass Johnny OX Pizza!
I visited Electric Works with my girlfriend to try Johnny Ox's Pizza.
Electric works itself were phenomenal. It's an incredibly cool environment. A lot of the old brick and cranes still stand in the building. Seeing the history repurposed is gratifying.
Johnny Ox's Pizza.
It's not that great. I've tried nearly every pizza place in Fort Wayne, and Johnny Ox unfortunately doesn't bring much to the table.
Aesthetic: Fair - it's not as done up as others in Electric works, so there isn't much to make it stand out.
Service: Fair - The staff weren't very friendly, but weren't unfriendly either. It was just another day at the office, it felt like. They didn't make any mistakes but didn't highlight themselves either.
Food: Poor - Usually, I'm more thorough with food reviews of local places, but there isn't much to talk about. The pizza was like a wet towel. Soaked in grease. I couldn't pick a slice up without all of the toppings falling off and the pizza flopping over. The flavor itself, when ate with a fork and spoon, okay, but not spectacular by any means. I expected better
Price: High - I believe I was $26 for a large pepperoni. That's high.
5.5/10 for the pizza
Looks and smells amazing! My slice of pizza was as large as the paper plate it came on. Sadly the pizza was only mediocre and not satiating. I would be interested in trying a pizza with more exotic toppings than just pepperoni or cheese. I went to Three Fires (first time at both businesses) afterward and had an explosion of flavor in my mouth.
