“While Covid has limited our normal visitation schedule with Pints, it remains our most favored place to chill, grab a beer from a well-thought list that isn’t so overwhelming as to make me give up in my considerations, and sample perfect yet distinctly different and often sophisticated pub grub. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, engaging and glad to assist in taking us through new beverage selections. As we are wading through Covid and all its entanglements, this pub has been incredibly thorough and thoughtful in their response to caring for their staff and the patrons. They found ways to turn it into a ministry for families and service industry folks who’d lost their jobs while still... carefully... serving their longstanding guests. They were and continue to be innovative in their approach on every front. I have not been able to return to our booth just yet, due to our own family circumstances, but Pints is a refuge in my heart (as any pub worth its salt should be) and will become part of our community engagement again, soon.”

Last night we spent 30.00, and my man could not finish what he picked for his meal, there was that much food, and he has leftovers. Lol he never has leftovers, I do, so two adults enjoy a meal twice for him and three or four times for me for 30$.. doing the math is fun when you dine here.”

“Some months ago, my wife and I met John, one of the owners, at a local restaurant where he was waiting tables. He told us of his dream of opening his own pizza restaurant. We told him we'd keep an eye out for it. Fast forward to this past Saturday (9/27) and we were finally able to taste John's, and our, dream come true. This pizza is amazing! It's as close as you'll come to the Chicago deep-dish in the area. It tangles with the like of Giordano's. Really. We had the 6" pie and, like a previous reviewer, and it was plenty for us. The free garlic bread was scrumptious and the house-made dressings (I had the Italian and my wife had the bleu cheese) were wonderful. We're looking forward to bring friends along to share this great experience. We definitely recommend it.”

“We were with a group of eight and we all had a nice dinner the other night. Overall everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Juicy Lucy which is a cheeseburger and it was very good. It came with shoestring potatoes which were not warm.. just room temperature. I should have asked for them to warm them up but I hated to ask. The waitress was good and attentive. My husband had the club sandwich and it was huge and he said very good. Also they have a wonderful private patio and we really need more places to eat outside!!!”

“Checked out Boomtown on a Saturday night on recommendation from friends and family! I’ve seen this restaurant change hands twice with this being the third. Never has it been so busy! The new interior feels welcoming like walking into a stylish friend’s dining room. The menu is simple, one page front and back. But lots of different items to choose from. Our table got two of the monthly game burgers, which is a different exotic meat every month. I tried the black bean burger, which was fantastic! The last person at our table got the chicken bacon club sandwich. The french fries and mashed potatoes were also really good. The spinach dip appetizer comes out hot and is more than enough for four people. Overall, the portion sizes are in line with the prices. Definitely very reasonable. They were very busy on the Saturday night and maybe a little understaffed, so we did run out of water a couple times. But nothing so major that we wouldn’t try them again!”

“The pizza was excellent!! I ordered the 9 inch and put as many things as I wanted on it for $8.25. And it was sooo good. My husband got the supreme for the same price. We both had a piece or 2 left over for lunch the next day. The crust is good .. a bit thicker than the other Fast pizza places. Here is why it didn’t get a 5 star.. they have one of those great mix your own soft drink machines but it’s Pepsi which is fine but all the drinks tasted flat and no flavor. I guess there is something that needs to be corrected on the machine. We tried every kind of drink and all had no flavor except for the root beer which was a bit better. We both enjoyed our pizza and will come back by then hopefully the drink machine will be working great!”
