“Absolutely delicious. Dare I say it, the best smashed burgers in Indy!! I’ve been here twice and it’s consistently tasty. If burgers aren’t your thing, at the bare minimum get their loaded fries and dole whip. Parking is a bit difficult if you go over the weekend. This location is in Irvington, so historic part of Indianapolis. Great to eat outdoor of weather permitting.”

“Great food and atmosphere... lack luster service. We have been going to Scarlet Lane (all locations) for years now. We have always loved the beer, atmosphere, staff, and general vibe. However, we went for dinner on this night and didn't experience the typical scarlet lane treatment. For starters.. We waited around 45m for loaded fries. We had to track down the server several times to remind them to bring drinks. The food took an hour and a half to come out. I don't understand how burgers are an hour and a half process. They were a little busy... and im understanding that. But the number of people there did not justify the long wait times and numerous errors. With that.... we will be back. Everyone has an off night. We love Scarlet Lane, and hopefully, it's not a new trend of operating.”

“Sooo I was excited when I saw chopped cheese on the menu, I went to NY 2 yrs ago and tried chopped cheese for the first time, the chopped cheese was good but most def not the NY chopped cheese....it was missing so much more flavor but still decent enough, my friend from NY tried the chicken over rice and said it was not that great, compared to the chicken over rice in NY, I have never tasted this plate till here and it was good, the seasoning was perfect. The service was good, I wished they had a table or two....I was also happy the soda they offered with the meal, was also coke brand and not limited to Faygos....I will most def be back.”

“Basically NYC halal cart chicken, lamb, combo (or falafel) over rice served out of a food truck parked at a Shell station. I went with the combo (lamb and chicken), served on a yellow rice with pita slices, lettuce and tomato, and crucially at the end they hit it with the white sauce, and then there are red and green hot sauces. Highly recommend the red, didn't try the green. This is pure comfort food. Portion was large, especially for only $10.99. They have gyros, chicken and a few other sandwiches, basic sides, canned sodas, etc. I got a side of fries, which were excellent. They salt and pepper them nicely. I'd definitely like to try other menu items, but honestly for me these are halal meat over rice guys, which is something I often crave, and have learned to make a passable version at home. But I've never had a legit option to get it here in Indy until now. I think once people start to realize that's what this is, it's going to be extremely popular. The guys working seemed really nice. They speak just enough English to take care of you. They take cards and add a small service fee. It takes about 5 minutes to make your food, at which point you go up to the window to do sauces and what not, and you pay at the end. The rest of the gas station area where you wait isn't anything noteworthy. Seemed safe enough in the daytime; YMMV at night.”
