“My family and I came in for what we thought was Mother's Day Brunch. We had reservations at 11am and ended up eating heavy dinners. We all anticipated maybe a breakfast or light lunch of sorts. Regardless, most of the meals were good. We ended up with the Godfather steak, we had to send that back unfortunately. However, they brought out a new steak and it was just fine. I had the lamb and honestly I'm not sure if it was over cooked but it tasted too much like beef. I didn't really enjoy it. We did stay for amazing desserts and took the majority of a key lime pie home but devoured this ice cream they had. The home make pink whipped cream was absolutely delectable.”

“Wow. We can't wait to go back! Cozy but not crowded. The tables were nicely spaced instead of trying to jam as many as possible in a small space. The decor was beautiful and the fire place was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, quick and seasoned professionals. Now... the food! It was so beyond the normal steak place. Please try The Shack before going to a chain restaurant. The salad was fresh and crisp and the made- in- house ranch had a dill hint. The french onion soup was exactly what I was craving with stringy delicious cheese. I got the smaller prime rib but for the truly hungry their is two larger portions. The french fries were hand cut deliciousness. My husband had a burger with everything but the kitchen sink. It was juicy and smelled amazing. As I said above... I can't wait to go back.”

“Absolutely wonderful! My husband took me to lunch here on mother's day. Every single aspect was delicious. The bread and butter is so good, I had to restrain myself from spoiling my meal. We both ordered the 12 oz. New York strip and had mashed potatoes and asparagus with it. I tried their Moscato and my husband had the Whiskey Basil. I ordered the chocolate lava cake w/ berries for desert. Absolutely supreme, everything!! It averaged about $100 per person. Delectable meal well worth it. Plan to make this an anniversary go to spot.”

“Server wasn't pushy and came when needed. Friendly people. Came in with a service dog and cane and someone appeared at the door before I got there and held it open for me. Very considerate. On to the food....wonderful. Perfect proportions and cooked exactly how I asked. Had a tea. Server noticed I used a sugar packet and asked if I wanted sweet tea. Only place I found that made a good sweet tea. They even brought a bowl of water for my dog when I asked. Competitive prices, too. I would recommend Rocky River to anyone. “An excellent meal, fantastic staff and amazing beer. My wife had the Scotch-ish Egg meal with Fried Potato Salad; simply simple and amazing. I have a thing for Reuben sandwiches and this was one of the best. Did I mention that this is a "scratch" kitchen, so everything is fresh and made on-site. Now, the beer. I only saw their own beer listed and the reason is simple; why carry other brands when your own is so good! A very decent selection is available for a variety of palates. Bordering transcendent, my wife says. I believe we will be back soon. I recommend The Heavenly Goat if you are in the area and are willing to pay for a quality experience.”
