“Had a wonderful experience here. The cocktails are amazing, I would recommend “The First Lady”. We did not get a chance to try the food but the smell was amazing coming from the kitchen. The staff and Owner were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcomed. The environment was beautiful and very relaxing. Can’t wait to come back!”

“Overall impression was fantastic! We’ll definitely be going back soon! Easily one of the best dining options in Evansville! Very speedy service and the waitress was great and attentive. The braised short ribs are amazing and should not be missed!”

“Decided to try this place out a few weekends ago. I ordered no whipped cream on my blueberry pancakes, but they were still served with whipped cream on top. No big deal, I can just scrape it off. Pancakes are delicious. Everything's dandy. Then I stick a fork in my eggs, which I asked to be made over-easy. The yolk didn't pop and ooze out, instead, the egg ripped and revealed that the entire top side of the egg was uncooked. I mean, the white around the yolk was just a clear, jelly-like consistency, basically just raw. I do the keto diet on a regular basis and I was having my first cheat day. I eat eggs all the time, so I didn't ask for them to be remade. I just didn't eat them so that I could save room for the hash browns. Which, were cooked to perfection. It was an okay dining experience, but it would've been cool if the waitress was more attentive and the cook that day knew how to make over-easy eggs. Also, I get cold easily, but it was really hot in there! I probably wouldn't go back, but the experience wasn't totally awful.”

“In a great location, as far as fuel, drinks, and so on, but the neighborhood, not so much. It's pretty close to the Westside, Fall Festival area, so you would think that the City of Evansville would clean this end up a bit? Just saying. ”

“What a great spot! The food and atmosphere was amazing! We just ordered off the late night snacks menu and we weren't let down! The flavors and the amount we received were great! If it couldn't get any better better the prices after we got our bill was surprisingly affordable! 10/10 will be back again!”

“Tried picking up a small meal at around 1pm on a Saturday. Service was super, super slow. Waited in line in the drive thru for about 20 minutes for a sandwich and a drink. Food was fine.”

“We always have a good time at Lamasco! Courtney was our amazing server the last time we were there and when my wife didn't know what kind of drink to order, Courtney asked what flavors she liked and made up something for her. That kind of personal attention and time spent was incredible! We also enjoy the live music. Great bands. And the mushrooms and cheese cubes are incredible. Cannot wait to plan our next visit!”

“We ordered a pizza and wings for carry out and we weren't disappointed. Pizza was as ordered, crispy thin crust and lots of toppings. Was cut a little weird, kind of in strips but it was manageable. Great taste, we enjoyed it. Wings were hot and fresh, nothing overly special but they were well made. Would recommend!”

“I go here just to get their fresh fried gizzards. Every other place over cooks them until it's like chewing leather! There's one drawback to this stores' gizzards, for some reason they put waaaay too much salt on them!”

“Wife, I, and service dog made our first visit last night after watching review on TV. Ordered chicken wings and Stromboli. Very good. Great atmosphere on patio with enjoyable music. Service was excellent even on a busy Friday night. Waitress was helpful and friendly. Daniel was there and helped us enter to patio with our service dog. Next time we want to order a pizza and house salad.”

“Super friendly staff who you could tell was properly trained in food safety and hand washing procedures. I really appreciate that! The ice cream was delicious and portions were generous. The only thing that I would "complain" about is that it is super quiet in the restaurant. I think a little bit of light background music would add to the atmosphere. There was an awkward silence waiting for the next customer to come in and break it.”

“Smitty's Italian Steakhouse is always a good restaurant choice. A variety of food choices available with Italian being a specialty. Full bar and wine list available. There is a large outdoor patio seating area which is fun during the warmer months. The bldg is old and interesting on the west side of Evansville.”

“When I think of Franklin Street bars, Sportsman's is the first one I think of. Reasonable drinks, fantastic food! A really good steak sandwich, burgers and wings are also good. They serve fresh cut fries and they're great! Free pool on a couple nights of the week.”

“We had our company Christmas party here in the upstairs room. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the food was exceptional. Pistons provided a large spread for us to enjoy with great variety. The only real con I was that it was very loud upstairs and I could not have any sort of meaningful conversation, but I'm getting old so that's probably more of the issue. Would recommend it.”

“First this place is adorable. That’s not the best thing though staff were very warm and inviting you got a refill before you had to ask. ..still not best part...I tasted the biscuits and gravy that have had in a very long time. But the best part is their fried potatoes they were to perfection This is definitely a little hidden treasure Evansville that so worth the find”

“I only visit here a couple times a year but it is always so good! Prices are good and the employees are friendly. I always switch my order up between German fried bologna with pepper jack cheese and a tenderloin (ask for it blackened.. so good!) with pepper jack cheese. Literally the best cheese from anywhere, it is a must get. Love this place!”

“Great place to hang out after work. The drink prices are great, and the food works well as an after work snack/early dinner kind of thing. They have a great selection of cheap drinking beers along with an awesome selection of craft brews in bottles. Angel is one of the best bartenders around, so try to go when she is working and tip her well!”

“Stopped by for lunch recently and it was simply delicious. Nearly all items are cooked from scratch and are mouthwatering. Tried their “fried cabbage” and it was crispy and flavorful. We also ordered chicken and dumplings; they were incredible. Large chunks of tender chicken with light, fluffy dumpling that had been rolled out earlier in the day. Lord willing, I plan to eat here many more times when in Evansville.”

“Turoni’s by far is one of the best local pizza places to dine in town. We frequent the Weinbach Avenue location about once a month to get our Turoni’s fill. We dine as a family and order their 29” pizza! It is good and delicious. Their Lots-a-meat pizza is my personal favorite. We are there every Tuesday for the Trivia. Our waitress Tracey is a true pro! She is surrounded by a very good group of servers who won't let your drink go dry. The pizza is thin crust and super delicious. One of my faves is the Steak sandwich. The burger is also exceptional. Cheesy bread is awesome! The bread is made fresh.”

“Sweet Schmitt’s offers delicious candy in an old-fashioned environment with smiling faces. The caramels are soft and the care that is taken in their preparation is apparent from the moment the wrapper comes off—reminiscent of younger years. Five Stars.”

“They need to relocate into a bigger building... I have gone here for years. Amazing food, great quanity, and quality food. They always hook you up on the ice cream and their fries. I just hate the building.... Its too small, and out dated. It gets way too crowded when your trying to order and wait for food. Its gets very busy quick, and the location is iffy... That side of town has its perks... But its honestly not a good part of Evansville.”
