We happened to visit on a Saturday early afternoon and they had Saturday morning cartoons on which just added to the great atmosphere! Would go back again”

“Not bad for a McDonald's! I made a quite large complicated order, and had to tack on a bunch of extra stuff after I'd ordered at the window. No big deal! They got one of my shakes wrong and offered to give me the correct one free, and keep the wrong one as a gift. I then had to pull up for the rest of my order - it was large order - and only had to wait about another minute. Of course it was staffed by 16-18 year olds, but they were all extremely nice and respectful. All-in-all, I'm writing a review for McDonald's here. Yes, they had a little issue with my order but only after I'd complicated the heck out of it. They got one thing wrong -- it was out of over a dozen items -- but noticed the issue even before I did, and offered to correct the issue immediately without hesitation or needing to ask. Maybe it's a low bar - again, it is McDonald's - but I drove away very satisfied. This location in particular just seemed to have quite above average staff and service.”

“Been coming to Monticello IN for quite a few years now, and just never had the urge to stop here. Reviews had admittedly kept me away. This trip we decided that it was time to make our own decision. We arrived around 2:15, and were the only ones there for about 15 minutes, but things slowly started to pick up after that. Hubby had coffee and I went with my Arnold Palmer. After which, I was informed was made with pink lemonade. No problem. Started with upgrade sides of soup. Tuesday is cream of potato and chicken dumpling. We doubled teamed and got one of each. The potato was cool, with huge chunks of warm potatoes in a flavorless paste. The chicken was tasty, delicious with homemade dumplings that were made old-school, pushed through a colander to form the dumplings. Oh yeah. ???? I went with a gyro wrap (with fries - I thought it came with them), and hubby got chicken stir fry (his old stand by). Food came timely, but no fries. When I asked, I was informed that they didn't come with them. The waitress was quick to want to remedy the situation. She was going to get me fries, and she wasn't even going to charge me for them. Then I thought about onion rings, and she said they're both great. So I opted for onion rings. Lickety split they were out, and piping hot and yummy! Lo and behold they weren't on my bill. Hubby's stir fry was an amazing meal. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the snap peas were fresh and crisp. The sauce was delicious, and not over powering. Overall, a wonderful experience here. I paid for those onion rings after all that. ???? I wanted her to know that her initiative and extraordinary efforts on my behalf were appreciated.”

“Great restaurant and museum! We took our 2 year old son here for his birthday. Food was great and really enjoyed the ice cream that came with each meal. The museum was fun and Mark gave us a great tour. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The kids really enjoyed looking at all of the cars on the outside especially the caboose that you can get in.”
