“One worker, by the name of Isaac, I believe, was a great worker and made my sandwich beautifully. He truly was fantastic. However, a woman claiming to be named Amanda was really harping the mellow of the whole establishment. If Mr. Isaac were to run the show, it would have been a much better experience.”

“When I got there they spoke right away. Let me know they got started late and were one person short! Only took 15 minutes for my order. They were very busy and apologetic. Excellent service!”

“We came here after a soccer tournament. At first we weren't sure if the place was kids friendly, but it is if you don't mind a bar atmosphere. Ordered food. My fiancee got the breaded pork cutlet based on a yelp review. Good size. Breading was tasty. I got the steak nachos. The first time they were cold. The second time they were warm. The steak had a nice spice to it. The cheese sauce was very good. The pickled onions were a great addition. I realize they are steak nachos, but for $13 and one of the most expensive items on the menu, the portion was small.”

“Good addition to downtown Burlington. I would recommend the filled doughnuts. I ordered a sandwich on a biscuit and decided after I ordered that I wanted to try the gravy too so got a side of that, I'm glad I did. I ate part of my sandwich with the gravy because the biscuit and sandwich overall was a bit dry. That said, I wish their gravy was made in house, I'm pretty sure it was a mix. This place does have a good low key vibe, it sort of reminds me of some Florida beach places. We also sat and chatted for a bit and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat but also laid back and low key. Overall I liked the experience just wish the food was better for the price.”

“Very knowledgeable bartender/owner. This is a hidden gem in Burlington. Very extensive variety of whiskey and nice selection of beer. Although we didn't eat there, the menu looked good and we plan to come back soon. Happy hour is 4-5 with 1/2 price drinks!”

“Home to the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted! Rich, creamy and generous. We shared the stuffed shells with ricotta after starting with garlic knots and mozzarella sticks for the table. La Tavola has such a cozy atmosphere and remarkable portion sizes. You can't go wrong dining here!”

“We really loved the view, but I had to get up to get my pictures. We could see a small part of the river from our table, the bridge is cool and you can see the old downtown church steeples , beautiful. The steak is very good. The ribs are average. The pasta was probably good, but that's all I could order for a 9 year old. She had 1 bite of it. The waiter was adequate, help me order something for the kid. I would go there again if I knew I would have a table by window. The patio area looked good,it was 98 degrees out and people were out there. It's in a large building on the 4 the floor.”

“Best pizza in Burlington by far. Probably the best pizza in the state. Possibly could be the best in country. Only one thing they could do but opt not to and that is delivery. As a professional delivery driver I'd be honored to be delivering Napoli's Pizza.”

“I come in here daily, sometimes twice. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. Yesterday one of the girls here (I can’t remember her name) remembered I buy a lot of the Ty animals and came up to me, just to let me know they got some new ones. That was very much appreciated! I’ve heard from multiple employees that Dev is a great manager to work for. She must be, because her employees stay with her for a long time. You do not see that often in convenient stores. Keep up the great work everyone! Oh, and I miss Billy! He is such a great guy....ALWAYS positive, smile on his face and treated everyone as a friend. ???? ~Melisa”

“My grandfather took me here as a kid, and being from Iowa City I never thought I'd actually live in Burlington. The town is really progressing and I ended up buying a house in this beautiful gem of a town. Once I started coming back to Jerry's as an adult it's still the same as I remember. I love taking my kids here, and I love the interactions I have here with long-time locals and the staff. It's funny, the biggest complaint I hear from people about this place is something akin to, "I can get that same food at home." Well, evidently these people have had the darn point sail right over their head. A great meal is supposed to make you feel like you're at home, and Jerry's has this in spades. The only time I've ever left here disappointed was because there was no room at the inn and had to eat elsewhere. Trust me, you are ALWAYS in the mood for Jerry's. My advice is to try and avoid lunch time during the week due to its popularity with local workers. Also, GET. THE. SPECIAL. that day, and have a great piece of pie afterward. Jerry's Main Lunch is quintessential small town Iowa at its finest.”

“We have stayed several times. We find the staff to be courteous and competent. The breakfast meets or exceeds normal 'free' breakfast standards. There is a nice pool and hot tub for the guests. The views are rural so it beats looking out to a different wall in your normal hotels. The rooms are clean and large. There is easy access to dining and shopping just minutes away.”
