We are traveling through and got this to-go for our dinner this evening. I ordered the small create your own pizza with double hamburger and pepperoni and my husband got the French Dip with onion rings. The pizza was OK, it looks great but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, it has a strange aftertaste like sweet yet a green pepper taste too, but it was still ok... The hamburger needs more seasoning, but the pizza was cooked well and the crust was fantastic and had a great flavor with perfect amount of cheese.
The French Dip was meh, he said the bread was incredible, but the meat was very dry and crumbly and lacked any sense of flavor, so major disappointment! However, the onion rings were crispy and fresh, and so delicious!
The staff was kind, accommodating and prompt, and that is incredibly appreciated, after a long day of traveling. Food was ready when they said it would be and that is awesome and appreciated as well!
The server was pleasant and attentive. I'm sorry to say, though... the food was generic and lacked love. The fries were from frozen, and the sausage sandwich tasted bland and looked unappealing and thrown together. The pizza was fine, but not great.
Everyone says this restaurant is a DSM tradition, so I was sad to see that it was so basic and thoughtless. Maybe it's time to refresh the menu and renew the sense of purpose? I would really love to experience it at its best!
Excellent takeout! The meatball sub is a great value, super tasty (kid-friendly: not too spicy!), and comes with a side of fries (just be sure to ask for ketchup if you’re taking it to-go). The containers were also paper boxes, which were honestly the *best* for our road-trip meal, and no styrofoam - double awesome!
Scornovacca's is a great restaurant and has awesome food! I very much enjoyed my experience and would definitely order again.
We had their Taco pizza (pictured below) and it was just terrific! Everything worked together on the pie, the sauce, crust, toppings and cheese to make a spectacular dish.
The service at the restaurant was kind and quick. I have no complaints on this regard.
We ate at home and did not really get to see the atmosphere and decorations of the restaurant.
Overall, Scornovacca's was a great time and I would 100% recommend eating here!
Good stuff! We liked the onion rings (full order really isn't that big, get it even for 2-3 people), and the hot wings. Pizza, as anticipated, was really good--thin crust. Pepsi products.
