Great comfort food, steaks, seafood, poultry & desserts, obviously the beef is the best. It's all Great! Awesome wait staff & a cozy bar! If you go away hungry, it's your own fault and you should be very ashamed!

Great atmosphere and we had a really great server which always adds to the experience. Food was perfect we had cheese sticks and onion rings for appetizers. Kids meals are about $6 which was not bad. It is a bit pricey so expect to spend but did get quite a bit of food for the price.

As always, the food here is great! Go early or prepare to wait. Even if you have to wait, the food is worth it. Best prime rib around.

If you're looking for culinary perfection, your search ends here.. However, if you're looking for a modern establishment... you could do much better - but let me tell you why you should look past the dated decor.

First of all, there are no wrong choices when choosing your meal. While they're known for their perfectly cooked cuts of beef, their seafood is a treat. Ribs and chicken? Yeah, they're both tender and cooked to perfection. Perhaps you want pasta? You guessed it, delicious! Toss in a loaf of fresh bread and a salad and you'll probably be too full for dessert... But, you'll regret skipping the sweets because no matter what satisfies your sweet tooth, they offer a wide range of treats.

Second, the bartenders know what they're doing! Consistently well made cocktails using high quality spirits and I've yet to stump them with some of my more obscure requests.

Finally, everyone you run across is friendly and knowledgeable. A lot of the staff has been there for years, so you're always treated like family from the time you walk in to the time you walk out.

The only complaint I can possibly give The Big Steer, is the dated decor - but to some degree, it's also part of its charm. Do yourself a favor and make your next steakhouse destination this one!
