Big Tomato Pizza

One of Des Moines' best pizza places IMO. Food was great when I stopped by for carryout two nights ago. Ordered an Italian sausage & mushroom calzone, a Big T Special, and some Italian fries with extra red sauces. You can't beat the local Graziano's Italian sausage. Food was hot and exactly as I ordered. They are often known for their advertised "Lousy Service" but even the service was good, so that's a win-win! With a wide selection of toppings and sauces, this local pizza place is a must try.

Excellent pizza today was the first time my husband and I had it. It’s definitely our new favorite.

I love their pizza, it has high quality ingredients, a thin but not too thin crust, great sauce and cheese. Their honey garlic is unlike any other. However, there is a big tomato experience that you need to be mentally prepared for. It's generally going to take much longer than they say and if you ordered multiple pizzas one may be fresh out of the oven while the other is cold.

It's a great place to grab a late night slice for $3. They usually have 5 slices to choose from. The hula (Hawaiian) is my favorite. They always have some basic slices too.
