Fresko

This is some of the best food I've ever had. With food this good, you think you would be eating at Splash. But unlike splash, entrees here are around the $11-16 dollar range. I can never feel guilty about eating food this good for this price. No wonder this place has a 4.9 star review avg. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. And everything good I cant stop talking about. The sushi was wonderful. And the crab stuffed avocado was somthing new but tasted amazing.
I'd give more than 5 stars if I could because this is the best thing I've ever rated on Google.
Also Heather is an excellent waitress. Super nice and got us our food so quickly. Give this woman a raise.

When you first walk in, you realize how beautiful this space has been created to be! It has private areas for large parties and small intimate booths as well. The drinks are handcrafted and well done and the food was incredible! For a brand new restaurant they don't have very many quarks to work out which is nice. Everyone in the Des Moines area should definitely make Fresko one of their main stops!

This must-try spot has a wide selection of fresh, seasonal dishes along with an extensive drink menu featuring original cocktails. Everything we had was delicious. I especially liked that the dishes didn't seem overly salty but still had excellent flavor. Also, if you're a dessert person, make sure to try the scotcharoo mousse if it's available! The service was also wonderful, our server Addison made sure to add some interesting tidbits with how the food was sourced.
For those concerned about COVID protocols, the staff were in masks and we were seated physically distanced from other customers. The restaurant is large, which is nice because there's plenty of space to spread out.

Had an amazing meal last night at Fresko. Beautifully designed restaurant with even better food and drinks. We were able to try a large amount of the menu. Spicy Tuna and Killer Sushi rolls were fantastic. Seared Ahi Tuna, Wood Grilled Wings and Lobster Avocado were also standout appetizers. For mains, my wife and I had the Short Ribs and Seafood Stew, both of which we would get again. For dessert, we had the Scotcheroo and Apple Strudel which were delicious. Great cocktails and very impressive wine and champagne list as well.

This will be the best restaurant in Des Moines in no time!

I work in downtown Des Moines and was invited to a soft opening at Fresko. My friend & I wanted to check out this new restaurant. We had our first experience in the dining room for dinner last night. Loved the decor, friendly staff and the food came out fresh, hot and delicious. Appetizers were tasty we had the Wood Fired Wings & Tempura Shrimp. Short Ribs with risotto dinner entree was so tender and the flavor of the dish was spot on. Our favorite part was the molten chocolate cake for dessert! I cant't wait to try some of the Brunch/Lunch options as well as the drink specials during Happy Hour.
