Harbinger is an interesting place. I would definitely go once in a while for an experiential meal. My favorite aspect of the experience was the presentation of each dish and for a few of them I thought the flavours were really well orchestrated. The ambiance was not on par with the sophistication of the food. I would eat here again to see how things have progressed.

Ambiance and decor are warm and tasteful. Dishes were artful and delicious, but small. We came for vegan options but there were few and we paid about $50 for what amounted to very little actual food. We were even told after ordering that there was a potato dish that was vegan so we added it to the order and thought that would add some sustenance but near the end of the meal we were told that the chef had informed our server that the dish could not be made vegan and we did not have time to wait for another dish. Less than 2 hours after the meal we are hungry.

Easiest 5 star I've ever had to give. From the time I arrived to the time I left, I felt part of the family. The menu was bountiful not daunting . Our server was polite, wonder rapport without being evasive and the food, my God, the food was exquisite. From the variety to the taste, it was more than deserving of 5 stars. It's clear to see that this has been one of the only 5 Star restaurants in town. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy the experience!!

I don’t consider myself a foodie, and I rarely write reviews. I’ve been to Harbinger 3 times, and had a really great experience each time. It’s an artistic food kind of place but without any pretentiousness. I’ve been really impressed with the help; they can describe each dish, how it’s made and they’re excited to help you navigate the menu, which is great because the menu might look a little intimidating for someone who is stepping outside of the chain restaurant world. They’ve been happy to talk us through it. Harbinger caters to all price points — you can get a $6 glass of wine or a $145 bottle. I think the steamed buns are a great place to start and they have won me over each time. They had a cauliflower & grapes dish that I really enjoyed but it’s seasonal, as a lot of the menu is. They are proud that their menu evolves to match what is in season. Here’s to trying something new!

AMAZING food and experience. Fantastic small plates restaurant. Our server did a great job recommending which dishes came out together. Steam buns are definitely a must try! Will definitely be back, highly recommend for date night!
