Pico De Gallo

This establishment was Plaza Mexico about a decade ago, and it was THE BEST Mexican around - food, experience, and who remembers the complimentary ice cream pita with your check?! We'd kick off Tuesday night karaoke here often, even though we were going to a bar in Clive, and none of us lived in Johnston. Later they sold to someone else, and the name escapes me, but it wasn't the same experience. Today, I was feeling nostalgic and we had been tipped by a client to get lunch fir finishing early, and we were in the area. Turns out, it's changed ownership again. Looking at the menu, it's a fusion of American burgers and traditional Mexican dishes. Our server, Victor, was friendly and helpful. The food was to DIE FOR. Pico de Gallo is my favorite Mexican restaurant, the same location that held that title for so long for me. They've been open about 6 months - go show them some love, you won't regret it!!

Excellent service from Megan! The food was excellent! I had the original Churro and Birria Noodles. Both delicious. I also tried the Climbing Kites beverage (Mixed Berry flavor) and I had to order a second one (Mango Prickly Pear). They taste a bit like a Seltzer! Will definitely be going back again. I want to try the Oreo Churros!

First time here, beautiful restaurant! So fun and the food was very delicious and our server Ezequiel was so attentive and friendly! Delicious Pina colada margarita for $5, you can’t beat that!

Great service. We enjoyed a top shelf and a house margarita. Both were excellent!! House margs 5$. Can’t beat it for the size and quality. Good atmosphere and a nice outdoor patio as well.

I have enjoyed my 3(updated) trips to this restaurant. The house margaritas are very delicious and the food has been good.
The menus need some work but they are new. So I feel like something may be in the works but the staff and owner/ manager are very responsive to customers and you never go unattended.

Birria 🌮 s are really good.
Had a pork chop special tonight and seasoning and verde sauce was great.
