“To be honest, I was a bit worried what I'd find inside when we pulled up to this place. It's very bland outside, with its gravel parking lot and beige paint... I almost missed its sign and it's painted in yellow, nearly blending in with the wall behind. It made me wonder if we even had the right place. However, when we stepped inside, there was a beautiful old stairway leading you up to a bright, sunlit loft-styled area, filled with an eclectic array tables and chairs and nicely, yet minimally, decorated. The coffee was wonderful and rich. Perfect for a cold day. I didn't try any of the food, but what I saw served, looked fresh and very appealing! There was an open deck for warm weather gatherings and it appeared that Decade didn't just sell coffees and teas, but adult beverages as well. Might be a nice neighborhood place to visit in the evening.”

“This place can be hit or miss, the first time I went I had the mahi mahi tacos and they were amazing. Another day for lunch I ordered the four alarm chicken sandwich. It was supposed to have pepper jack, buffalo, and jalapeno peppers, but the peppers were missing and the chicken was thin and overcooked. There are good items on the menu like the wraps and tacos, just avoid the chicken.”

“Can’t say enough about how great this pizza was. I Lawrence visiting my sons family, my other son is gluten free, the gluten free crust was amazing he said! Also ordered some wings and a few pizzas to feed this small army... the wings were great!!! Wings perfectly done, crispy, very good buffalo sauce!! The pepperoni pizza was a big hit with both young and old!! Crust and sauce were very good. Just the right amount of pepperoni and cheese. If we stay in this part of town again will definitely order from here next time!!!”

“I love the Salty Iguana! I used to work in Overland Park and ate at the 135th street location frequently but now I have to rely on the Lawrence location for my fix. Love their thin chips and the salsa is very flavorful. The Prairie Village burrito is great, but honestly I've never had anything there I didn't like. Some people have said the Lawrence location has really gone downhill, but I haven't experienced that.”

“The Grazing board appetizer is what made our experience. While the salmon burger and the apple blue burgers were good and satisfying, they were just burgers. The Grazing Board was large and perfect for sharing with two! It had local cheeses and pork belly, some Farm to Table crackers, friend polenta, and some amazing house made pickles. The service was adequate, though it took about 25 minutes for our appetizer to come out (busy Friday).”

The advantage to this location is the PlayPlace, although we have found it to be somewhat crowded during the weekday mornings and especially on the weekends. “The Sandwich Bowl was the best thing in all of Kansas. Highly recommend stopping here to get something to eat. We got the B.A.T.H., the Spring Chicken Salad, and the Son-of-a-Sandwich. We aren't sure what the sauce that came with the sandwiches is but it is delicious! I said i would come back to Kansas JUST for this sandwich! “I almost skipped this place because of the bad reviews but today I desperately wanted a smoothie and this place was close by. I downloaded the app and instantly got $2 off which sealed the deal. As soon as my partner and I walked in we were politely greeted. I thought we would only have a few options to choose from because we are vegans but boy was I mistaken. Almost everything on the menu can be veganized, all you have to do is ask for almond milk. The prices are AWESOME. I'm from new york where 6 bucks won't buy you an empty cup but Smoothie King traded me 32 ounces of pure magic for that price. These guys do a great job at keeping the place clean and getting the orders out nice and quick. Shout out to our guy, Jaydan at the counter, super nice and knows the menu well. He suggested the apple,kiwi,kale smoothie and I was enamoured. 5/5 recommendation.”
