J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood Kansas City

Been here a couple of times. The steaks are always seasoned so well. It is delicious. The sides can be worked on a bit. Service is good depending on servers. We got Tyson last night, he was pretty fast and attentive.

Met here with a couple of friends for a birthday celebration. Easy parking and access. We were greeted and seated promptly. The ambiance is good, with lighting for each table that is sufficient to read the menu while maintaining the atmosphere. Michael was our server and did a great job, from bringing the appetizer to clearing the dessert dishes. And taking group photos, too. The bread was served warm with two types of flavored butter. Our entrees were delicious and the coconut cake with a pool of apricot puree was enough to share. This is a high-end place so I'll have to wait for another special occasion, but I'm so glad we had this great experience together.

Love this place, food bursts with flavor! Outdoor space is great for families with little kids. Tyson was very kind and treated the kids with so much love and care . Thank you Tyson for making this a very pleasant experience ! Everything we tried was exceptionally good including strip steak, calamari, mashed potatoes, super creamy cheese cake and home made Vanilla and raspberry ice cream!

Service was a little slow (not to anyone's fault it was Friday night so we knew they were busy The food was spot on like always, This is the most delicious steak you're going to eat in the Kansas City area and probably across the state. It is a great atmosphere, and great place to be if you're wanting to get out on the town and really truly enjoy a meal. Thank you J. Gilbert's for keeping a classy. We will definitely be returning soon.
