I was only just a little disheartened that our waiter only stopped at the table 3 times; take our order quick stop just as our food was brought out then again to give us the bill. She never checked on our drinks or asked if everything tasted ok. She was friendly and we still tipped over 25% but considering the reduced capacity of the restaurant I would have thought she could have been a little more attentive.”

“No place is perfect. I go to music venues all over the KC area and I find Roxy a very good venue for dancing and listening. First of all it takes money to pay rent and utilities so don't complain about or resent a $5 or $10 cover charge. $5 is less than you pay for a big Mac. So with the cheap cover its a great value for a great time. Second, it's bar food, don't expect Jack Stack. I never have to wait long to get a drink. Try tipping the bar tender. See how that works. The acoustics are excellent and the sound engineer is very good. I donno who owns / manages Roxy but it's now one of my favorite places. Large dance floor is nice. Keep up the good work. It's not a place for toddlers or babies. Children above 10 years old would probably enjoy some of the matinee music but hey, it's an adult night club.”

“We ordered our food via Grubhub. The sweet potato fries were really good and the waffle fries too. The pork tenderloin on my sandwich was burnt which made it a little tough and also tasted like there was no seasoning at all. Very plain tasting sandwhich. My daughter got a pepperoni pizza in which the crust was burnt.. she likes burnt stuff so she didnt mind too much. It was nice to try a place for the first time tho. I was impressed with how they put the burger fixings in it's own wrapping so you can make your sandwich later. Nice call on delivery orders. :)”

“First time to a First Watch and it will not be my last! The cornbread carnitas were Amazing! I think that was a special, but I’d say it should be a permanent feature! “I love Mr. Goodcents and hate that there are none in my current state. I always make at least two stops at Mr Goodcents when traveling in KS. The bread is amazing and love how the meat is sliced fresh for each sandwich. All toppings are quality ingredients and staff is always friendly. For me, it really is about the soft, freshly baked bread and generous servings. Will continue to be a fan and make this one if my first stops whenever I'm in town.”

“I think I finally found my favorite BBQ place. The baked beans are to die for. The cut fries are tasty lightly salted. The brisket has a little fat on the side but easy to cut off if you don't like that kind of thing. The burnt ends didn't have any gristle just lean tender meat. The ribs fell off the bone tender and delicious. The BBQ sauce was left on the table so I could pour as much as I wanted. The sauce was not too thin but not too thick. It was slightly sweet with a perfect amount of heat and tang. It created a hearty flavorful BBQ sauce. With two dinners, two sides, and two drinks, it was just under $50. Slightly less than Q39 and Jacks and you get more for your money. As far as I'm concerned it was better than the other two as well too. The service was spectacular too. Our server was very attentive, polite, gave samples, and gave helpful suggestions as to what to order.”

“Really like this place, it's one of the only dine in pizza huts left and while it does show it's age here and there the service has always been really good and the food has been great. The place is pretty clean, though sometimes it gets a bit messy after a party and they usaly have only 1 person waiting the tables so it can stay dirty for a while if it's also busy. Othereise it's a really nice pizza hut with friendly staff and great food. I rarely ever seen it busy and it's also one of the only pizza hut's with a drive through. Love this hut”

“Great place. I ordered online and it was very easy. I thought it was a little expensive at first, but now I see why with the quality of the wings. The wings are sauced just right, even with the bit of extra in the bottom of the box to dip my fries in. (The best.) I wish the boxes were labeled with each different kind of wing, but I was able to figure it out. I’m assuming it will take a bit to get in a good routine after just opening. Great job!”

“Hubs and I went for an early Saturday breakfast. I love the casual feel and the reclaimed wood walls added a warmth to the space. The servers were very prompt, attentive and friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant when you want good Mexican food at a reasonable price but don't want to wait in line for a table. I do recommend the Steak Fajita Burrito. The burrito is served with great tasting, tender strips of steak, peppers and onions (I usually ask to hold the onions), along with rice and beans. It's absolutely delicious and there's usually enough to take home for leftovers.”

But that's to be expected with panned foods sitting waiting to be eaten. The sushi has picked up in quality especially in morning time but then tapers off. Overall, go in for lunch for a cheap variety of quick food that will still beat whatever you grab at mcdinalds”
