“My latest visit we went in for a few drinks and appetizers after work on a Friday. Walked in at 2:30 or 3 needing a table for 8 with no reservation. Even though they were slammed with reservations the hostess got us in for a limited time of 2 hours (plenty of time for what we were doing). The food and drinks here are always excellent. Definitely try the cherry limeade mule if you haven't! It won't disappoint.”

“Cozy seating and ambiance. Large establishment with private party room, even a space for larger family get togethers. Plates were well dressed and pretty. Order time seemed fair and portions were good sized. There is a bar area if you are just looking for a few cocktails and an appetizer. I definitely recommend the loaded oysters (can't recall the exact name) and the cheese plate (tastebuds sensations!)”

Just had the fish & chips for the first time and they are easily among the best I've had anywhere. The portion sizes are also among the largest I've seen for the $. “No place is perfect. I go to music venues all over the KC area and I find Roxy a very good venue for dancing and listening. First of all it takes money to pay rent and utilities so don't complain about or resent a $5 or $10 cover charge. $5 is less than you pay for a big Mac. So with the cheap cover its a great value for a great time. Second, it's bar food, don't expect Jack Stack. I never have to wait long to get a drink. Try tipping the bar tender. See how that works. The acoustics are excellent and the sound engineer is very good. I donno who owns / manages Roxy but it's now one of my favorite places. Large dance floor is nice. Keep up the good work. It's not a place for toddlers or babies. Children above 10 years old would probably enjoy some of the matinee music but hey, it's an adult night club.”
