“My favorite lunch spot on the University of Kentucky’s campus. The staff are extra friendly and kind to you. I’ve never had a dish here I didn’t like as well! You place your order, take a number and sit down wherever you like and they will bring your food once it’s prepared. Everything is always cooked perfectly and just the right temperature. I love their coffee as well, but hate that I can’t use my own reusable cup for the specialty drinks. However they do give you the option of drinking your special cafe drink indoors with a ceramic mug. I love this quaint little place on campus.”

Atmosphere is great, the bartender did an excellent job with every drink I ordered, and the guy in the men's restroom was hilarious. “Lexington's BRAND NEW Irish gastropub - in the former Cheapside/Ruddy Duck - opened the last week of January and I went on day 1, just couldn't stay away. I'll say this: We're in for a treat. Paul, one of the partners, was on-hand that evening to meet all the patrons and he's got great big plans in store. Check it out! Also, if you're wondering why I included a picture of a bathroom, you've clearly never set foot in this establishment before - it's a VAST improvement, to say the least! Expanded review to follow when I get a chance to order food, but for the first time, the bar atmosphere was absolutely on point! UPDATE: I’ve now been to H&J for brunch and it was excellent! Our trio ordered the Full Irish Breakfast, Shepherd’s Pie, and Egg & Cheese. I was so curious about the black and white pudding that I had to order a side of it, too. Unfortunately, it has almost no flavor (unlike goetta, which it’s often compared with by doesn’t hold a candle to) so I won’t be doing that again. For drinks we ordered a Bloody Mary, Gin Fizz, grapefruit Mimosa, and Guinness. We would have loved to linger but a) the drinks were pretty expensive for what they were and b) UK was playing at home and a lengthy line had formed. I can’t wait to go back for dinner and sample some more Irish grub!”

“So I had high expectations for this place. Positive first beautiful rooftop dining, drinks were good, and the dessert was amazing ?! The negatives service was terrible and slow. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes for our dinner entrées. Tables around who ordered after we got their food before us. Maybe the server forgot to ring in are order, it would have been better to own up to mistake than keep us waiting for so long. You know it's bad when other tables make comments about how long it took for us to receive our dinner. Overall if you want drinks and appetizers at a leisurely pace this is a good place to go.”

“This is my absolute favorite Starbucks to go to. This one opened up not too long ago. I recommend this one over all the rest. Yes it’s closer to me so I’m a little partial to it. I’m the type of person that will drive anywhere for a good cup of coffee. Every single person that works there treats you with kindness, also very respectful. I want to personally call out a girl name Ariel. Basically I drive up to the window, she hears my voice and the first sentence of my order, she already has it all on the screen for me. Now that’s knowing your customers and taking care of them, she’s an absolute sweetheart also. I definitely give this place five stars. They are doing everything to prevent Covid from spreading, and they take great care of their customers while doing it. Thank you Ariel for being such a great barista! “Both times I've been to Kismet I've been blown away by the food. I've had their miso sticky ribs and their breakfast bulgogi burrito. The food has the exciting ingredients and flavorings you'd expect from a trendy fine dining establishment. Make no mistake, you're not getting bar food. They have passionate cooks making inspired food. The meals are fast and the atmosphere is casual but wait until you take a bite! Everyone in town should give this place a try.”
