“We came for the Mother's Day brunch and were the last seating time. We were also the last table to get to the Buffet. Several of the foods were gone and the ones that were there were crackers and cheese and fruit also salad. I was disappointed for 28.00 a plate and we assumed there would be more breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy. They did have bacon and it was cooked very well. The wait staff was friendly and kept our drinks full. We may try again when its not so busy for a holiday. We did not stay in a room. The Inn is very lovely.”

“I live right around the corner from this Shell and its convenience, cleanliness and great customer service keeps me coming back. I don't believe a lot of the bad reviews because I've been going here for about 3 years now and have never had an issue. I believe the bad reviews are people who may have dropped in once for 5 mins and dont really know the atmosphere. The bathrooms are always clean, they keep items stocked, their food is fresh, great customer service and the lines are fast. There are 2 other gas stations here in Midway and this is my #1 choice. Their gas prices are always decent and unlike the other 2 stores whose prices are usually 10 to 15 cents higher than Lexington or surrounding counties. If they have one register open and see that the line is getting long, another employee will immediately open the other register. During lunch hour this especially helps and is better than other locations I have visited. I know the staff and very well and they are all nice. They always greet me. They are courteous and overall, this is a great and convenient store!”

“First timer from out of town visiting my family. They had heard good reviews and recommended that we give it a try. We ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer. The guac and salsa were very good. The chips are made to order but had a slight oily taste that I thought took away from the flavor. We had the chicken and beef fajitas combination platter for our entree. The seasoning they use was really flavorful and really stood out. Added a side of street corn. Definitely would recommend.”

“The food was great, but more importantly, the people were wonderful! We stayed at the inn and hung out at the bar most of the evening where we were able to order anything from the regular menu. Despite there being to very large parties on the same night that pretty much filled the place, we never felt neglected. We live 2 hours away, but will definitely be back just to visit this place and enjoy the region.”

“Very enjoyable day taking the tour and then having brunch. The tour was kind of short but the guide was entertaining and informative. The castle itself is neat to see, especially if you are from around the area and always wondered about it. The food is farm to table and is really good. There are not a lot of choices, but everything our group had was delicious...so don't be afraid to try anything! All in all, we had a really good time and recommend visiting!”

“OMG, the food was so good and worth the wait. The place is packed and with good reason. I love the atmosphere, it's very laid back. I got the inside out hot brown sandwich and a ginger gem cookie. The sandwich was so good, all the ingredients are quality and blend so well together. The cookie was perfect, soft and chewy with a bit of a ginger bite but not too strong.”

Cod sandwich had good flavor and the tarter sauce is good, but the fish was small; only about 60% of the bun size. Mozzarella sandwich was very good. Some menu items price didn't match the bill.”

“Went here for Easter brunch and it was divine!! $30pp and such a steal! What a beautiful location We ordered extra biscuits which weren't necessary as you get table biscuits and scones, everything was executed to perfection and seasoned well and they give you a giant homemade style dessert.
